This is a doddle to install once you have removed the radio from the dash. I installed this in a Sony touchscreen stereo. When I turned the stereo on there was no signal. However, once i used the radio settings to provide power via the dab aerial plug, everything burst into life and the reception is good. Well pleased.

Installed a replacement radio unit in my Ducato X250 motor home. Decided to try this aerial splitter to save time installing a dab aerial. The kenwood unit can provide power to the dab aerial splitter and works well. Would recommend this product.

I had aftermarket Kenwood head unit but DAB signal was hit and miss using existing non amplified stubby aerial. Didn’t want use the stick on windscreen aerial that was supplied. For my installation it was very straightforward. DAB signal has improved and with more stations being detected. So for the price point I am pleased withe performance, with regards to quality time will tell hopefully fit n forget

I bought "Eightwood Car Radio Antenna Adapter Cable DIN Female To DIN Male + SMB Connector 12V+ Active" in order to try improve DAB reception in the car which is basic spec as is i.e. no amplified FM Ariel just the amplified window Ariel i installed some years ago which is ok but not great and when there sun activity or bad weather it doesn't provide enough signal and keeps breaking up. This item arrived quickly and was easy to install thats what i give 5* for but given it did not work at all, DAB signal = 0 its a 1* dont buy it because its as scam and read on to find out why. The item arrived in its bag with the plastic case off which showed the internals as nothing more than a pcb connecting the FM to DAB wires together which are soldered in shield as well congrats lol but no components in it at all, nothing passive or active to be found not even filtration which is the min i was expecting. I bought this item as all its description was talking about active amplified adaptor, they even state the DAB antenna power setting must be on in the radio as it is with my DAB window Ariel but whats that going to do when there is nothing to power in the device, for the record i tried both off and on antenna power and shock horror it changed nothing. Good quality and speedy service

Unfortunately the adapter didn’t help me out. I have a VW EOS and the only aerial I have is built into the wing mirror and as I have changed the radio to a DAB this adapter was an option. The FM signal was a little bit weaker but but DAB is far too glitchy to be used. I have tried a windscreen aerial and that was rubbish too. If you want a good signal you’ve got to fit a roof mounted one.

This works really well with an aftermarket DAB head unit in Porsche 987/997, which has an in windscreen antenna. No messy dab aerial. Just make sure the head unit is set to send power to the DAB socket.
