Perfect Bake Smart Scale and App

I can't believe the price of these! I was looking for a plastic bowl and the price for one or more was quite ridiculous really! I came across these and didn't think they'd be much cop for the price but I was very impressed. The bowls themselves are super sturdy, with a handy pour spout and rubber ring in the bottom so they don't slip on your work space. The scales are a great bonus - I haven't used the app though may if I'm feeling adventurous in the future. The scales work perfectly on their own - you do not need to use the app for them to work. Definitely brilliant value for money :)

Waited to do the review after I had used it for a while. Its a great bargain I can really recommend. I did at first worry that you have to use the app to get the scales to work. This is not the case. The scales function as you would expect and always weigh correctly. I did do a few recipes from the app and that to was easy to use. The extra bowls are tremendously useful. When I ordered did not realize you get an oven thermometer as well. What a bargain! The batteries are normal torch type readily available. That too is a blessing. The Perfect Bake would make a lovely wedding gift.

I rarely leave reviews but these scales are fab! I bought them for my daughter who is off to uni. Great value for money, scales, 3 bowls, oven thermometer and even a little stand for your phone. Scales work with or without the app. Everything seems really durable too, would definitely recommend. I wish I was keeping them!

Bit expensive for what it is but good product non the less.

The bowls are sturdy for kneading dough.The spout (the reason I chose this product) should have been much deeper.The bowls scratch easily, though that's more of an aesthetic issue.I bought this for the bowls. The scale and thermometer are a bonus.

I bought this two years ago when it was £6 on Amazon. This product is really worth the money! Ive always been great at making pastries but terrible at cakes.I now make tasty cakes, I’ve also created a couple of my own on the app too!Issues; only issues I’ve had over the years is that it sometimes disconnects to app and i have to restart the app again. And only a feel difficulties on start up with the app Calibrating the scales a lot even though nothing is on it.I wish there was a newer version of this available on Amazon. Would definitely purchase!

I wanted a set of bowls and I wanted scales. This popped up for like half the price of anything else that didn't look like utter trash. The bowls are solid, non-slip bottoms with pouring spouts, pretty much ideal bar a lid. The scales are pretty large and work as you'd want with a range of measures, come with some app thing I've not tried, but that looks like it'd be useful/fun if you're into baking. There's a oven thermometer and the real star of the show a free tablet/phone stand, which I use all of the time. What a weird, fun well made kit.

These are great, slightly larger scale than I am used to, but the bowls that come with it, fit perfectly. They so far seem to weigh very accurately, the bowls are well made, (quite bright!) and the added touch of the pouring spout is a welcome addition. I plugged (with attached cable that has a holder to keep it secure and out of the way when not in use.) into my ipad, downloaded the app and I was ready to bake! I have not used the app to see its capabilities yet, but that's on this weeks to do list, so far I think these are a great buy and I would recommend them.

Awesome. Got as a gift for my mother, and she loved it. Even without the great recipes that are available offline, the scale is very useful.

This gadget has turned me into a first-class baker. Before this, I haphazardly threw things (usually out of a box) into big bowls, stirred them up and hoped for the best. Typically this also involved a messy kitchen and a shirt and apron covered in flour. Now, I feel like a real pro. Not only is it fun using the Perfect Bake app, but it's precise and leads to really great results. I love how the app tells you exactly what to do (even using color-coding for those of us who are visual people), allows you to make edits and take notes and has the timers you need built right in. Before receiving this gift, I did not have an oven thermometer. Once this arrived, lo and behold I discovered that my oven was about 15 degrees below what I was setting it at (which might explain why my baked good took forever). An added bonus is that my otherwise uninterested-in-all-things-baking husband enjoyed using it and helped me to create our first ever successful banana spice bread. It was tasty, moist and is now in our bellies. I really really recommend this product. It's easy to use, intuitive, fun and produces great results in the kitchen. I will be giving this as a gift to at least three people I know. Shipping was fast and the product was well packaged.

Oh my gosh this gadget is fantastic!If you work in a large food service operation/bakery, you already know that chefs working in this type of environment use weight to measure nearly everything -- it is the only way to know that you are not overpacking a measuring cup (or likewise, not seeing a "bubble" in a cup of flour). The recipes on the app are spot-on and I've made some things that are out of this world tasty.I know that the later (and more expensive) versions of this product feature better interfaces (i.e. bluetooth, wireless, etc), but I have had no problem with the wired connection -- I even have an iPhone 7 and have to use the dongle with lightning port and have had no troubles. The Perfect Bake app is fun to use -- and has tons of recipes. I have not yet converted my own recipes but plan to do so soon. As an added bonus, I was able to download and use the Perfect Drink and Perfect Blend apps too -- which makes this product very useful for making mixed drinks and smoothies.I am very impressed with the capacity of the scale (11 pounds!) and have even used the scale without the phone as a kitchen scale. It is my understanding that the manufacturer has discontinued this model, but it is still a very good product and you can't beat the price. I was prepared to pay quaduple what I paid after seeing this product at a local kitchen store.
