This was my original, one star, review. "These clippers YNR® Professional Toe Nail Clippers Nippers Cutters - Chiropody Heavy Duty Thick Nails - Nail Files  were a great disappointment. Firstly, the retaining clip was very difficult to release. Secondly, the spring was unable to open the clippers from the fully closed position. The final straw was that the blades were not correctly aligned - there was daylight showing between them when the clippers were fully closed, therefore it was impossible to get a clean cut without tearing the nail."The vendor quickly replaced them FOC, assuring me that the pair that I'd reviewed were atypical. None of my original criticisms hold good for the replacements. The retaining clip is no more fiddly than others of its type. The spring works as it should . The blades close properly - no daylight to be seen between them. The clippers work exactly as expected. Well done, YNR Instruments.

Easy to use for people with bad hands

Good quality, strong piece of kit, great for tough toe nails. Only niggle is the two part spring which slips apart very asily whilst using the cutter.

Didn't work at all, rubbish

High precision steel hard to find such quality any more.
