Machine Dye Pod, Intense Black, 350G

Have used this twice for a bunch of things that were white and also for a royal blue pair of sneakers. Everything turned out great. Including the shoes (didn’t dye the white rubber at all). Have used lighter color dyes by same brand with splotchy results but this color ends up very even and a great not quite navy—a little lighter and not too intense dark blue. A caveat: most threads didn’t dye since they are manmade fiber, but I still like the look.

This is the first time I've ever written a negative review but I'm shocked. Maybe my dye pod was defective? I'm not sure. I strayed away from my tried and true RIT dye to give this "one-stop shop" pod a test. I was excited to give it a shot and was shooting a video to document my process. After following the directions to a T, using garments with natural fibers.... it didn't work. Not even slightly... I spent $30 to realize that I should have never strayed away from RIT.

So easy to use and very simple instructions. Helps bring back life to faded clothing. Highly recommend this simple black dye.

Did not dye any items in the wash. I dyed a pouch and it is still faded after 2 washes and I dyed black cloth shoes and they don’t even look like dye stuck to them.

Does not work well with washing machines with agitators.

I bought this because I have a lot of faded black items. I used 1/4 of the bottle for a medium lot. I was worry about the black dye discoloring the white patch on one of the item but the patch stated white and the item was dye black. good buy

This product is mailed from the UK and instructions are for European systems but simple instructions listed below: Basically you put your damp product (max 600g or about 3/4lb of dry clothing) in the washing machine with the unwrapped pod and run normal cycle on your washing machine with cold or warm water. After the cycle, you run the dyed product again with normal cycle but with your regular detergent this time. After the 2nd wash with your regular detergent, you are done. To make sure there's no left over residue/dye in my washing machine, I washed it with a washing machine cleaner. I used this pod on my faded black jeans that I don't want to toss away yet.. and they look as new after using this dye. I haven't worn them yet so cannot comment if this is leaving dye on my clothing or furniture or how long this dye will last before it starts fading..

It didn't make a difference to my black jeans. I threw in a white t shirt just to see if it really did anything. It turned out a light grey color and left some dark black streaks in it so now that shirt is a total loss now. Wouldnt buy this again.

easy to use, great color, durable, not washing out

Household stuff is not my forte so I was apprehensive about dying a piece of clothing. But I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I had two pair of women's shorts, worn once. Liked the clothing but didn't like the colour (a dovey-mossy-grey). I dyed both black together and the depth of colour is great. My only feedback for the product team is the instructions aren't at all clear. Put the pod into the machine without removing the packaging. What does that mean? Don't peel away the plastic wrapper, or do? Don't peel back the foil that covers the opening, or do? Really bad instructions. I took my chances (removed the wrapper and peeled back the foil) but that was technically in opposition to the instructions.
