Good but not all-around great
This material is really good, but it is definitely not Bucktail. It is waterproof and that is it's failing. Bucktail absorbs just a bit of water and so helps my chuggers hang in the water correctly. Also, the material tangles in the treble hooks and won't release as well as the natural bucktail does.Having said that, it does have its uses. It is great for tying inverted streamer flies that you would like to be somewhat weed free. It is also very easy to work with.I tie buck tails to run separately from my treble hooks on my bass chuggers so that is why I only gave it a 4 star rating. It is good for everything else I have tied with it.

What the Buck!
This it not bucktail hair, I repeat, this is not bucktail hair!!! Don't buy this if you expect this to have the same action as bucktail hair when you tie your jigs. The action is less so you have to change the way you present the jig. I have used this and my jigs still catch fish. Again, it is not bucktail hair. But if you are in a pinch and need the look of bucktail in your jig, go for it.

The product is fantastic, the color does not look red at all
The product is fantastic, the color does not look red at all. It looks orange.I contacted the seller and he was wonderful. He took the time to look at the product and compared it to the orange. He agreed that it did look a little more orange than red. All of the others I have are true to color and are very durable.
