VIVOSUN AeroLight 180W LED Grow Light, Full Spectrum Plant Light with Fan

Item Reviewed: VIVOSUN AeroLight A100 100W LED Grow Light with Fan & Tunable Spectrum Price at time of order: $89.49 I upgraded from a non-branded LED grow light with no smart control to this Vivosun Aerolight A100 in my 2x2 grow tent and have never turned back. Right out of the box, it feels like it has a solid, high-quality light/fan. Included are mounting brackets, an RJ45 cable for connecting multiple lights together or connecting to the E42A+ controller, and a thick power cable. I purchased the optional E25 controller to use with this and I'm glad I did, because the light/fan only do full speed/brightness when plugged in - there's essentially no control without one of the "optional" controllers. With that controller though, I have full control over the light spectrum, light intensity, and circulation fan. Configuring device automation was a little bit of a learning curve, but wasn't bad once I figured it out. I've been using this on my early veg plants at 53% intensity and my plants are loving it so far. They've responded well to the new light and are thriving. I couldn't be happier. I was skeptical of the fan blowing down directly on my canopy, but it actually ended up being one of my favorite things about this light. The way the fan is made it doesn't just blast what's directly under it, it displaces air in such a away that it doesn't constantly beat on my plants. Also, in addition to fan speed, you can set it to a natural wind setting and it will do repeated cycles of a nice breeze to a light gust. Overall, this fan was worth every penny and I can't recommend it enough.

I’m using four of the VSA200D lights daisy chained to one controller. Only using two of the four in this tent but when these plants start growing then I’ll switch all four on. I love the integrated fans as mixing air in a tent is paramount to keep mold and certain pests at bay. I also love how you can daisy chain four together and only have the ones you need running on but they still pass the schedule and dimming to all lights even if they are after a unit that isn’t powered. These fixtures are extremely well built and have intelligent design. Nothing is out of place, the 90 degree plugs included are appreciated, the ports all have covers, the cables plug into a side that also has the hanger so you can route cables along the support. They put off great light and I measured the output with my PAR meter and each fixture was within 1-4 PPFD of the others at the same height and dimming setting, and this held true across the whole 25% to 100% range. And honestly it’s not like I was trying to make the test extremely uniform so that fluctuation was probably me, not the lighting. I’ve used VIVOSUN products for my bonsai trees in the winter time when my tropical trees are inside and they have performed great. When I went for the larger grow tent I thought of going with a more expensive brand but I figured I’d stick with VIVOSUN and I’m happy I did. I have a few friends that bought other brands, buying into hype and brand names and they have the same or in one case, worse performance and I was able to use the money saved for other things that make my grow room better. I went with these LEDs because they had the UV and far red lights which I wanted. I didn’t think the fan was going to be as good as it was but they are great. VIVOSUN gives you everything needed to get them hung and incorporated with the controller which I appreciated. Well packaged, nice box that I’m keeping in case I need to store them in the future. I’m a customer for life. Great products, price, quality and accuracy across all of the units. Easy to get setup, integrated with the controller easily and in all, just a wonderful experience.

Excellent light. I'm using this in my 3x3 grow tent and the coverage is perfect. I don't have the controller yet but for me it isn't an issue since I only grow autos. I could see in a couple days my pants love this light and the growth seems faster tan my previous one. The fan puts out just enough airflow to circulate but not strong enough to dry everything and move plants around a lot. It doesn't seem to put out a lot of heat and is just slightly warm to the touch. I paid more for other lights that weren't close to the quality of this one so this was an amazing price considering all you get. It was easy to setup and I can't wait to get the controller when I get more of their items to go with it.

First , I will say the lights work great and the fans really move the air well. That being said , none of my 3 came with screws to connect the H brackets. I just hooked them up without direct connecting them , but if I had the screws then they would be connected to provide rigidity. One HUGE disappointment with the lights is that I wasn't told that a grow hub controller was needed. I thought the light had a internal controller that you could connect wi fi to. It should be made more obvious , so purchasers know they need one for every 8-12 lights. If I get those screws I will probably use the H brackets next year.

Does exactly what I had hoped. I had been using the 2’ vivosun LED bars and they just weren’t cutting it on my setup without some serious adjustments. I also had a floor fan that was just way too much for small seedlings. I hadn’t looked into the app but it did EXACTLY what I had hoped. It replaced my dumb wall plug in timer for full control over timing of the lights and fan intervals. Now all I have to focus on is proximity and intensity. Everything else is automatic. The little hangers that it comes with seem strong but thankfully the adjustable ratcheting clip mounts slide right into the eyelets on the lights. Now I have 4 point support instead of 2 to keep everything nice and steady. Fairly easy to adjust on the fly if needed.

I’m using 2 of these in a 2x4 tent. A 2x5 would keep the lights flat but I like the wings folded in a bit so the light is hitting the plants sides better. 100% power gets hot fast with outside room in the low 70’s. I like the ability to adjust heights over each plant with its own light with these 100w and 200w lights. (Vers a hanging light bar). The fans collect dust fast and even adjusting speeds will fling crap around during your flowering stage so leave the fans on and speed alone after early flower. But they do blow down air nicely on the canopy… I actually keep the speed under 3, maybe 5 max to avoid wind stress leafs. You’ll definitely need more fans to achieve a cross breeze on the plants. Every plant grows and stretches during flower at different heights and time lines so using just one light bar seems difficult to get all the plants at the same canopy height to the grow lights. I keep the light about 14” to 18” away during flower at 80% to 100% power and veg I found 20” to 24” is good with power from 60% to 80%. All setting are fine tuned on the phone app. (The grow hub adjustments are made by 20% incumbents. Without using the phone app.) Without a grow hub the lamps just run the fan and LEDs at full power!

Ein hervorragendes System das keine Wünsche offen läßt. Besonders für kleine Growboxen zu empfehlen da das LED Licht einen leisen Lüfter hat. Die meisten Vorteile entfaltet das System durch den separat erhältlichen Growhub sowie die Belüftung um alle Komponenten zentral steuern zu können über den hub als auch über die App. Für den Betrieb in Deutschland sollte ein 120Volt System vorhanden sein (Trafo) da nicht alle Komponenten mit 230V laufen.

Besonders toll für ein ausgezeichnetes Klima und außerdem bis ins kleinste Detail Fernsteuerbar per App und Bluetooth Adapter. Die Feineinstellung ist leicht verständlich für den Fortgeschrittenen und Anfänger zugleich. Nix billiges kaufen, hier ist Qualität verbaut. Am besten das komplette System auf einmal kaufen, dann ist die Zusammenstellung günstiger.

Leider ziemlich teuer, aber für mich als Anfänger erfüllt es voll seinen Preis. Es gibt bestimmt was Besseres und Günstigeres, aber ich bin bis jetzt sehr zufrieden.
