Wansiven Bathtub Repair Kit - Enamel Tub, Tile and Shower Tray Refinishing Kit for Scratches, Holes, Cracks - Waterproof Sink Repair

Our relatively new bathroom suite suffered a small chip to the ceramic sink basin. Whilst only a few millimetres wide, once seen, it could never be unseen. So this meant either paying several hundred pounds to have the unit replaced, or attempting to repair the chipped section. I figured that it made sense to attempt a repair first: This product proved to be outstanding, and after using it, the chipped section is now completely invisible, and the basin is as good as when it was new. The key reasons why I like this product are: 1) It has quite a long cure time, needing to be left for 24 hours to set. This enables the two tubes of paste to be mixed really thoroughly. I mixed the stuff for a good few minutes to ensure that it set really hard. 2) It does indeed set nice and hard. 3) Luckily its colour matched our Roper Rhodes basin really well. So well that it is not possible to see where the paste was applied. I found that the following key aspects were necessary to get a really professional result: 1) Ensure that the damaged area is thoroughly clean. I used methylated sprit on a lint free cotton cloth to clean the surrounding area. 2) Work slowly with attention to detail. 3) Apply the product thinly, as it is easier to apply a second layer if needed, than have to remove a lot of excess hardened filler. 4) Crucially, I ditched the supplied abrasive and used my own wet and dry paper, used with water, and working down with several finer grades. 5) I started with 400 grit paper and moved down to 600, 800, 1000, then the really fine 1500 grit paper. 6) The 1000 grit paper should be used when you can feel that the surface of the filler is just a tiny bit proud of the surrounding ceramic surface. 7) When moving down the grades of abrasive, use a fresh sheet of kitchen paper towel and fresh water to rinse/clean the abraded surface. Also dip the new bit of abrasive paper in fresh water (so as not to pick up any coarser particles from the previous grade of paper). 8) For the final polishing, I used T Cut paste, followed by buffing with car wheel polish. All in all I am absolutely delighted with this product. It gets a 10 out of 10 from me and saved me several hundred pounds.

Great product dries quickly and easy to use

This is a great product the only downfall is it doesn’t look the best. It has done the job and filled in the cracks and made it smooth.

Good product

Disappointed with the product, given the good reviews. Firstly the paint supplied ( white and Black) was difficult to open without spilling. But the bigger problem was drying time, I mixed 50/50 with the tubes A&B and added a little white paint(supplied) as the mixture wasn't white. The mixture has been on 36hours now and still not set, was hoping it would be dry enough to sand in a day! I would not recommend this product for these reasons, I think it will only set if you don't add the coloured Paint that is supplied. I will have to remove and buy a new product.

Bought for my shower, easy to use and apply. Be careful when using the product it is difficult to get off, I accidently got some on my phone case. Drying time was 24 hours. Seems to have done the job.

questa primavera ho iniziato a ristrutturare il bagno di una casetta in campagna di proprietà dei mie genitori. premetto io di professione faccio altro. Mi sono ritrovata a fare i conti con molte spese non previste , problemi di impianto idraulico, perdite dai tubi etc. avevo in origine pensato di voler cambiare anche il piatto doccia, ma dopo molteplici spese non previste ho provato a vedere se sarei riuscita a sistemare io stessa il piatto doccia , cosi ho acquistato questo kit...credo che le parole non servano basta vedere le foto allegate ..... come si può notare nella prima immagine il piatto doccia era completamente "sbeccato",mancavano molte parti di ceramica e sotto si intravedeva la parte di mettallo di cui era fatto il piatto doccia. così armata di questo kit sono riuscita a risistemare il tutto senza nemmeno troppi sforzi ( e credo che l'immagine parli da sola ). All'interno del kit si trova tutto quello che serve e le indicazioni di come eseguire il lavoro. ci tengo a precisare che io non lo faccio di mestiere ....anzi però credo che il risultato sia ottimo .....iniltre il piatto doccia non ha dato nessun problema di perdita. dopo ho acuistato un altro kit per risistemare la vasca da bagno dei miei genitori . il lavoro lo devo ancora fare ....ma sono sicura che verrà uno spettacolo. consiglio vivamente il prodotto

Ich habe damit einen großen Sprung im Waschbecken meiner Mietwohnung repariert - das Produkt ist so gut, dass es nie rauskam. Es waren keinerlei Spuren mehr ersichtlich. Absolute Empfehlung!

El producto llegó un el plazo indicado y trae todo lo necesario. Lo he usado para reparar un pequeño desconchado en una bañera, y su aplicación es sencilla, lijado de la zona dañada, mezcla de los dos componentes y con los tintes que trae igualar el color, aplicar con la espátula y dejar secar durante 24 horas mínimo. El resultado es fantástico.
