Exactly what I needed. Firm yet soft enough to grip to throw, not like a baseball but with a decent throwing motion, and the skin is tough so it can be used outside on the grass. Would not recommend the wall or tarmac as it will scratch and scruff it. Surface is smooth but provides a grip so is not slippery or slick to the touch. Very satisfied with done sions, weight, and heft. Would recommend again. Great for exercise with simulating a forehand in tennis and passing to a partner...

I spent a lot of time looking into weighted balls for Pilates and had high expectations and was looking forward to these arriving . Sadly when they arrived one was just as expected soft and easy to hold but the second one was solid as if the sand had got damp inside . I was very disappointed . I returned for a refund
