Not very accurate, but fun
I like this, but now that we have a more accurate sensor next to it, I can see that the temperature is typically reading about 2 deg C higher (e.g. 22 C instead of 20 C) and the humidity is about 8% lower. So probably the other readings are not very accurate either. But I mainly got it for the CO2, and it's probably roughly right. It's fun to breathe on it and see the CO2 go up a lot. If you read other people's comments about the battery not lasting long, I don't know, as I just leave it plugged in.

Pretty good
This air quality monitor is a handy tool if you want to keep a close eye on your indoor environment. It measures temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, volatile organic compounds (TVOCs), and formaldehyde (HCHO)—all in one compact device. The display is easy to read, and it gives you real-time feedback on the air quality, which is especially useful for people sensitive to allergens or pollutants. Setup is simple, and the portable design means you can move it around your home, office, or even take it to a hotel. While it’s not a professional-grade lab instrument, it’s accurate enough to spot trends and help you improve ventilation or reduce irritants. Overall, a practical, multi-functional gadget for anyone concerned about the air they breathe indoors.

Looks Smart - However Wildy Inaccurate and Alarming Readings
I was excited to receive this device due to the many different air quality readings it portrayed to provide, however i was quickly let down by the inaccuracy of the device. Firstly the device is compact and well made, ideal for a desk or lounge placement without being too intrusive. The screen is bright and clear to read head on, but quickly fades out when trying to look at an angle. The information on the screen is easy to understand with clear headings such as CO2, TVOC, HCHO, Temp and Humidity readings. The device also has an audible alert which will sound if reading levels increase to a point where your attention is demanded. The device can be changed between C and F very easily. The device has a built in rechargeable battery, which lasts around 8hrs - you can connect the device to a USB C power source to allow for infinite use. Switching on the device it goes through a self-test/calibration and counts down from 60 seconds before any readings start to appear. For the first few mins the device appears to work well and falls closely in line with my other more expensive air quality monitoring devices - however after only a few mins the devices readings go wildly off, the alarm sounds and the colour bar indication goes red! This is alarming and makes you think your air quality is almost dangerous to your health! I was receiving readings of CO2 levels being 3000ppm and TVOC levels at over 8mg/m2, requiring urgent ventilation of the area. When you turn off the device, followed by immediately turning it on again the levels return to normal again if only for a few mins. I tried several different placements for the device in different rooms around my home, some test were with the windows and door open and others a closed room, all resulted in exceptionally high readings. As a result of this problem the device became unusable due to the inaccurate readings. As a result of my personal experience i cannot recommend this device to others.

SUPERB for use in an apartment building.
Let me tell you why I am so glad to have this thing. I have these 2 upstairs neighbors that are the foulest troglodytes I've had the misfortune to encounter. In June of last year, after flooding my apartment for the 4th time by cramming uneaten pasta down their sink drain and backing up the wastewater pipes, I complained to the landlord for help. (This is after 10 years of crap like this.) Mr. Troglodyte responded by trying to kick my door in and attack me. In so doing the son of a ***** killed my dog, my beloved Maggie. Cops didn't care and the landlord was angry...at me. After that I constantly have the stench of cigarette smoke, quite strong, in my apartment day & night. I couldn't tell you how, but they've apparently felt the need to "get even" by finding a way to vent their second hand tobacco smoke into my apartment. I know it sounds weird; just trust me. It's gotten so bad that I began to worry if it was safe to be in here, and I thought an air quality meter would be a good idea and ordered this. This unit monitors CO2, HCHO (Formaldehyde), and TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) as well as temperature and humidity, in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius. TVOC concentrations are from things like paints, cleaning agents, glues, and solvents, air fresheners, perfumes, candles, furniture and carpets, combustion byproducts (cooking, smoking). It seems that HCHO is the most concerning one in my situation. It is caused by the presence of new furniture or pressed-wood products (like particleboard or MDF), paints, varnishes, and glues, some textiles or carpet backings, and most importantly, cigarette smoke or unvented combustion. This monitor essentially tells me that the second hand smoke that's getting into my apartment measures around 0.010 to 0.012 mg/m3 (milligrams per cubic meter), and the TVOC reading is around 0.043. I went to Chat GPT for a "clear English" explanation of these measurements and was VERY relieved to hear that these readings are 10x lower than the World Health Organization’s indoor exposure guideline of < 0.1 mg/m³. Same with the TVOC reading. The AI went on to explain that even when pollutant levels are below harmful thresholds like this, our noses can detect smoke odors at incredibly low concentrations — especially the oily, clingy smell of stale cigarette smoke or third-hand smoke (residues in walls, carpets, and vents). These might not show up as significant measurable toxins but still cause discomfort and possible low-grade irritation. So while there's nothing I can do about the loathsome shaved apes upstairs while they're apparently protected by both the landlords and the rinky-dink local small-town cops, this sensor let me know that it's not at dangerous levels which was well worth the price for that peace of mind. One last note: the display on this is superbly user-friendly and easy to read from several feet away. It weighs next to nothing and is quite portable if you want one with you when staying at motels or other places for that same piece of mind.
