We cat purrents know how finicky cats are ehen it comes to food, treats, etc. I wanted to find something healthier for my current 2 and the price was right to try (if they hadn’t approved would have given to the neighbor cats that have adopted me lol). I am happy to report that my 2 definitely approve of the salmon bites. I put 3 under the creamy they get at night and the plates are clean every time. Helps give the clnightly nummies more substance. (Tonight my boy ate both his and his sister’s completely and looked at me while licking his face when I saw what he had done-Totally unrepentant lol). I will say the sizes do vary somewhat-some pieces are equivalent of ‘double’ length but I just count that as two pieces. Love that these are single ingredient. These would prob work for training depending on the cat. Since I don’t use a lot per day, the price is acceptable for me compared to the temptations and meow mix treats I had been giving them and my cats definitely prefer them. While I was going through the last of the soft meow mix I would put 2 of the salmon and 2 of the soft treats, the soft treats might be left but the salmon never was. The bag and resealable zip are good quality so you can keep them in the original bag. I will say that when you open the bag, you will get the fish smell so just be aware. I definitely recommend trying, if yours don’t agree and you have no neighborhood cats, the price is reasonable enough to donate the bag to a shelter without feeling a big punch to the wallet. I have not tried the other flavors but will prob try the tuna as well at some point

OMG I opened these up just today, and immediately chose to subscribe and save. My cats are so picky... one doesn't even eat treats. When I opened these up (strong smell) both cats were very interested. They went wild for them! They searched for more hiding in my hands! They are pretty crunchy, and my cats are old and have had teeth pulled. It took them a bit to fully eat, but I think they enjoyed that part! Definitely try these for any cat, even picky ones.

My cats absolutely love anything by Vital Essentials and they’re also great for them as well! One of my cat’s is allergic to certain food ingredients and materials, so he can’t have basic treat options; thankfully with this treat, he doesn’t break out at all! These treats are the perfect crunch size for any cat and are definitely more healthy than any name-brand treats without all the unhealthy meat byproduct.

They are very small treats for young cats. They are training friendly and they’re are somewhat chewable. My cats didn’t take too much of a liking to them unfortunately and the value is probably above what I think I would pay for the effectiveness.

I’m only rating a 3 star because my personal cats didn’t enjoy these but I do know a lot of my friends cats like them! They are even good for dogs! Value for money is high considering it’s freeze dried and healthier for them. Ingredients seems clean.

The Salmon Bites arrived and were VERY hard upon opening the bag. They were so hard, my kitty was unable to chew them with her teeth. I tried breaking them into pieces for her, but they were too hard to even break up. I am wondering if they are always like this - or perhaps I was shipped a stale bag?

Caught these while they were on sale. I know cats can be picky with freeze-dried treats, but my cat LOVES them. I gave her one straight out of the package and she ate it immediately. Funny enough, she snuck into the Amazon box and grabbed the treat bag and bit holes into it before I had a chance to put it away… Love the healthy and honest ingredients. Very fishy smell, but at least I know it’s real fish!!! Will continue buying this & this brands offerings in general. She loves the minnows too!
