Great product but not cost effective for large or mtiple dog homes
I love freeze dried dog food. It is just a quality product and great for dogs. It is easy to store in sealed plastic containers. Since its freeze dried a little goes a long way. Very healthy diet for any dog. That being said it is extremely expensive and not doable for most pet owners. I have a small dog so its not bad. But I couldn't imagine the cost for a large dog or multiple dog homes. But if you can afford it I would highly recommend. The texture is soft and it breaks up easily in water. I didn't notice a strong smell, less smelly then average wet foods. I started buying these for my three senior mini schnauzers. They lived to 20 and 18. Before this I would cook and prepare their meals. Not everyone can do that so this is a good option.

My French Bulldog dog loves this food. He will pass up his can food for this dry dog food!! It is expensive, but he has not been eating his feet.

Great in case of emergency
Freeze dried dog food - it has simple ingredients and lasts a long time because if the way it is made. Great to have on hand for emergencies (do not forget your pets in emergencies)! It is kind of expensive for how much you get but freeze drying food takes forever so it saves a bunch of time. Our dogs loved this flavor. It was very fresh - it came sealed and smelled fresh when opened. You can re-hydrate it with some water or broth (make sure your broth doesn’t have garlic or onions). Would recommend as a treat or in case of emergency (wish it was a little less pricey).

My dog loved it ! He was able to eat it even though he's only got four teeth left he's 16 years old with tummy issues. tolerated it just fine

Good
My dog is very prone to vomiting when I feed her freeze dry food, but Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Dog Food has been great. She never vomits when eating it. I always keep a few bags on hand and add some on top of her regular dog food.
