Why did you pick this product vs others?: Fantastic product! I I liked it so well that I ordered an MT 12 afterwards. Low price and features even better than an expensive model make this an easy decision. Features: Features maybe even beyond a $100 Pinpointer. Build quality: Seems good plastic and equal sturdy. The performance is better than most honestly. I could range 3 inches with some materials depending on the settings.

Works great on dry land. I have not tried it in the water.

Dr. Otek's team thought of everything, I think. Pinpointer was accompanied by holster, hanging strap, good instructions, and battery. Did I mention it works great! -JS

Top tier pinpointer! Comparable to pinpointers costing four times more in my opinion. This thing is very sensitive to electromagnetic fields and metal items. It has audio, vibration and a LED light. I was able to detect metal objects from as far away as 7 inches. As the pinpointer gets closer the audio and vibration increase as well. I use this with a Nokta Legend and let me state that when doing so do not have these two devices on and within 5 feet of each other. You WILL get an interaction between them especially if the Legend's coil is pointed in the direction of your dig. I can't give this pinpointer enough praise. It is superb in all regards! Why spend so much more for the other pinpointers when this does it just as well if not better? Highly suggest giving this pinpointer a try!

Pintpointeur facile d'utilisation et performant. Livré avec un piles de 9v et étui pour ceinture. Fonctionne avec des couleurs quand on approche de l'objet va du rouge, vert, bleu et blanc. Différentes vibrations aussi qui produit aussi un petit son, mais pas de bip bip comme d'autres modèles. Ici aussi son prix est très attractif. Je recommande également le détecteur de la même marque. Génial petite sortie avec les enfants.

Just received this today, and although I didn't really take it out detecting yet, I find the build quality and functionality of it quite good for the price. I put it on my table and introduced CDN coins to it, and it seems to start detecting them at about 3.25 inches from the pointer's tip. I'm sure this will be a good pointer to compliment my new Nokta Triple Score. If any problems arise, I will edit this post, but for now I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend if you want a decent pinpointer without breaking the bank. UPDATE: I finally took the pinpointer out and this is my update. I really think this pinpointer is excellent value for the money. It is very good a pinpointing a target, and responds very well. One thing I noted is that it does get interference from my Triple score if I lay it next to the hole, this is solved by placing the detector a bit further so as not to get interference OR pressing the filter button on the pinpointer, which works but you lose a bit of Dr. Otek's range. Not a big deal. On the down side it is a bit too easy to accidentally press the power button when holding the pinpointer, I think with time I'll adapt to a better way to access it. For those who don't read instruction manuals, know that once you power on the pinpointer, if you fast press the power button twice it shuts off the LED light. I would not have known this had I not read the manual. I still highly recommend this pinpointer, I believe it'll be my pointer for a very long time.

in the last 30 years i have used quite a lot of metal detecting equipment some very complicated i prefer things to just do the job, with ease simply and successfully this pinpointer fits the bill.a friend had just bought the MT6 pinpointer i tried it on an outing and didn't want to give it back it was far better than my old one, i sent to amazon the next day it arrived very quickly, the overall feel of the probe is good very easy to use, a quick look at the user manual explains how it operates . it is invaluable on pasture land found a number of coins on grass with ease thanks to this unit, it comes with its own holster that i have fixed to the back of my detector the detector feels more balanced and its in the perfect place to pullout to use, its very positive in use i like the definite vibration when it locates a find , i can feel it through my gloves, with one switch that dose everything the probe is great for me switch on and use every thing works automatically the led changes colour and the units vibration gets stronger the closer you get to the target and its fully waterproof to i think its an excellent affordable probe some probes of this type are considerably more expensive than this one so for me for price quality and ease fo use i am happy i purchase the MT6 pinpointer
