I have this Waterproof Network Switch mounted in my outhouse. From the Switch I run my security cameras around the home. It means I have one wire running to the router instead of all the cameras. Very easy to use, waterproof, wired, the signal has never let go, it is easy to mount and looks of great quality stratight out the box. Would buy again if I needed another waterproof switch for maybe running something outside.

This has no seals on the detachable cover, so I would definitely not class it as waterproof. Also, inside the case, the ports are not set far enough back so that if you had it in a high place where it was exposed to the weather, the wind could drive the rain into it, but also if you put it in a low place, heavy rain could easily splash up into it from the ground. The Ethernet cable entriers are pop-out hard plastic, again with no waterproof sealing. But the major flaw of this unit is the length of its power cable. It's only 2 ft. (63cm) !!! You will need to have a socket literally right beside it. That was the dealbreaker for me. Not fit for purpose at all .

Hi. The switch seemed pretty good and compared well price wise with others available. The waterproof enclosure was an added bonus. However please beware that my switch died after 4 months. Because it was an Amazon marketplace vendor, Amazon will not accept responsibility for returns. I posted a negative review and the seller eventually agreed to process a refund. The switch was only powering 4 CCTV cameras and a wifi AP so it was not overloaded. I would be willing to try Yuanlei again if it is cheaper than other Amazon direct items, on the basis that I was maybe just unlucky...

I installed the unit, only to find that the PoE does not work at all, and the speed is limited to below 100mbps, despite using brand new cat6 cables. Still waiting for the seller to provide a replacement unit.

The installation manual supplied is for another product. Unable to install. Flimsy construction. Packaging damaged on delivery.

Currently using it outdoors to power a few POE Reolink Cameras and it has been easy plug and play and stable! Love that it's in an outdoor case so it's made for use in Canada where we have cold snowy weather.

You can get a name brand unit for the same price. Power supply is built into the unit which means you either throw the whole thing out or take it apart to change a proprietary part. Manufacturer's site has very little specs for documentation available.
