10 Ports Fast Ethernet PoE+ Switch 8 Ports POE|2 Ports Uplink
I have been looking to expand my old analogue CCTV system with IP cameras and needed a simple and easy way to power them, as some of the locations would be awkward to run a new mains socket and the YuanLey 10 port PoE+ switch is the perfect solution to my problem. The switch has a nice metal construction with 8 x 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and 2 x uplink ports on the front, along with the status indicator lights and a switch to extend the transmission range of the connected cameras from 100 meters to 250 meters. The rear of the unit is where the mains adapter is plugged in and also features a grounding point, so that the unit can be grounded inside your cabinet (if that is where you are placing it). Either side of the device are mounting points for the hanging brackets which can be screwed into place and the bracket can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. Each port outputs 52v at 1.5A and has a max output of 30W. The dimensions of the switch are approximately 20cm x 12cm x 4.5cm. ***** In The Box ***** 1 x 8+2 Port PoE+ Switch 1 x Pair Mounting Brackets 1 x Mains Power Cord 4 x Mounting Screws 2 x Mounting nuts and bolts 1 x User Guide ***** Installation / Usage ***** The YuanLey switch works in exactly the same way as other switches and requires no configuration on your part. You simply connect your devices to the PoE ports, connect the switch to your existing network via an uplink port and connect it to the mains. ***** Conclusion ***** Currently, I only have 1 PoE IP camera but intend to add more. Being able to power the cameras using a single Ethernet cable is a huge advantage and makes installation far easier. I have my switch mounted in my attic so only needed to run a single Ethernet cable between my router and the switch and then a single Ethernet cable between the switch and the camera. It is also possible to power non PoE enabled cameras using the YuanLey switch, by using a spliiter – you will need to make sure the splitter is capable of reducing the voltage from 52v to 12v, which is usually used by non PoE cameras or you will damage them. I also like having just a single power source as it helps to keep the installation nice and neat. All in all, I am quite pleased with the build quality and the value for money is very good. Having 8 ports means I have enough room for expansion in the future.

Well made POE switch and great price !
I ordered this 8 port poe switch for my 6 dahua ip cameras.Because its spec meets all of my requirements---total 120w watts,8x10/100Mbps POE ports and 2x10/100Mbps RJ45 uplink ports. All 1-8 POE ports comply with PoE+ standard, fanless(very quiet). Done one week stress test to verify that all components work well. About the switch: There are 2 components - the switch itself and a power cable(Power built-in).The switch is very compact and light. You can put two switches in 1u cabinet space. It is made in Shenzhen China. About the ports: There are 8 10/100Mpbs poe ports and 2 10/100mbps uplink ports. (most applications need an uplink port ,for example ,NVR,router), The maximum PoE output power of the whole switch is 120W, and the maximum PoE output power of a single port is 30W. Hook up: There is no on/off switch. Plugging the power supply in turns the switch on. I recommend doing this first, then connect the POE devices at a time. I did try plugging-in/unplugging the power supply with all POE devices connected. There was no problem. Power consumption: I connected 6 dahua cameras to the switch. At full load, with all cameras booting at the same time and infra on (they turn on during boot), cameras+switch used around 50w (kill-a-watt). With the infra off, cameras+switch used around 35w. For these reasons, I was not able to verify the 120w output claim. Heat dissipation: The switch was never even warm. The cameras did get HOT, but survived the test. The power brick was more of interest because it will be in a VERY HOT attic. It was normally warm. To stress test, I wrapped it in a towel and put all cameras in a dark room to triggered the infra. In a few hours, the brick got quite hot, but not bad. Left it that way for a day. Conclusion is that it should survive my attic. In all, I'm very satisfied with this brand poe switch.

The PoE capability on each port is a big plus, providing power to devices like IP cameras and wireless access points without needing separate power supplies. Versatility: It's versatile enough for various applications, from outdoor security camera setups to extending networks to remote locations. The robust design and high performance make it suitable for both residential and commercial projects. Reliability: In my experience, the YuanLey switch has been highly reliable, with no issues of overheating or connectivity drops. Not Waterproof, Power cable only 2 foot Long.
This has no seals on the detachable cover, so I would definitely not class it as waterproof. Also, inside the case, the ports are not set far enough back so that if you had it in a high place where it was exposed to the weather, the wind could drive the rain into it, but also if you put it in a low place, heavy rain could easily splash up into it from the ground. The Ethernet cable entriers are pop-out hard plastic, again with no waterproof sealing. But the major flaw of this unit is the length of its power cable. It's only 2 ft. (63cm) !!! You will need to have a socket literally right beside it. That was the dealbreaker for me. Not fit for purpose at all .

Waterproof Network Switch, Works straigtht out the box once connected to a Router.
I have this Waterproof Network Switch mounted in my outhouse. From the Switch I run my security cameras around the home. It means I have one wire running to the router instead of all the cameras. Very easy to use, waterproof, wired, the signal has never let go, it is easy to mount and looks of great quality stratight out the box. Would buy again if I needed another waterproof switch for maybe running something outside.

Good Value
So far it is feeding two POE CCTV cameras and one RJ45 outlet in my daughters room. Looks a solid well made item and has worked perfectly so far with plenty of scope to expand my CCTV system and ethernet network. Good value, good feedback from the manufacturers and overall very pleased with it.

The switch died within a few months but the vendor arranged a refund
Hi. The switch seemed pretty good and compared well price wise with others available. The waterproof enclosure was an added bonus. However please beware that my switch died after 4 months. Because it was an Amazon marketplace vendor, Amazon will not accept responsibility for returns. I posted a negative review and the seller eventually agreed to process a refund. The switch was only powering 4 CCTV cameras and a wifi AP so it was not overloaded. I would be willing to try Yuanlei again if it is cheaper than other Amazon direct items, on the basis that I was maybe just unlucky...

POE Plus Switch for mulitiple IP PTZ Cameras
The 8 Port POE Plus switch is Excellent value for money. We are powering 3 IP PTZ Cameras off it with no issues at all. We use the uplink Port to feed the input of a wireless link. We can control the 3 PTZ’s functions and see all 3 Camera images with no glitches. We will be buying these again in the future.
