My wife would probably have a hard time figuring out how to use a fire extinguisher correctly in an emergency. And dry chemical fire extinguishers leave a big mess that has to be cleaned up. They can also ruin your stove with the dry chemical.While we have not had a need to use the fire blanket, they appear to be well made, and easy to deploy. I used a strong magnet to attach the blanket unit to our refrigerator. Far enough from any stove grease fire, and close enough you aren't too far away to retrieve the blanket. If there is a kitchen grease fire, the blanket will smother the fire, and there is no messy cleanup.

Easy to control several streaming services with simple set up. Alexa works great from the remote. Using a cable to the Spectrum router gives blinding down load speeds. Terrific value.

Thick, durable fiberglass blanket that's big enough to cover a whole stove easily. It will not be big enough to wrap an adult in, but that's not what it's meant for anyway. It does have some loose fibers here and there and touching it will make you feel scratchy due to that. Pulls out of the bag and opens up quickly with the two pull tabs. The only issue is my wife doesn't like how it looks hanging up in the kitchen, but I told her she'll forget about it in a month or two.

I had a small kitchen fire, and I was able to extinguish it on my own. It was very scary however and I realized I would be better prepared to have these products on hand. They're easy to use and highly rated. I feel better protected.

2 days after our purchase and delivery of the fire blanket, a thick plastic lid stuck to a large stainless steel stock pot. The pot was placed onto a ceramic cooktop (w/plastic lid attached unbeknownst to me) and the burner was on high! I was standing close by, turned around to see 3’ Flames under & beside our white kitchen wooden cabinets. I yelled for my husband I grabbed the pot and moved it to the sink (I did not get burned). My husband put the Fire Blanket on the fire. It kept burning with black smoke coming out when I realized the burner was still on high! After I turned off the burner, the smoke continued for a few seconds the flames stopped & a few minutes there was NO smoke. We are thrilled with the Fire Blanket & ordered 2 more. The flames did not damage anything and I was able to wipe all the black smoke off the counters, the ceramic back splash & the white cabinet and air the house out. We were thankful we decided to place the Fire Blanket in a drawer below the ceramic cooktop. Although we did not get a photo of the Fire or smoke my husband changed our return air filters. The black one on the left compared to the new white filter on the right is the proof of the black smoke.

This is the product to buy. I bought another cheeper product but glass fibres became embedded in my skin, causing pain. I returned it and bought this product instead because it had the best reviews. Sure enough, handling this product does not cause any problems - no glass fibres embedded in skin. Buy this one. Not the others.

I saw these on facebook and checked out the Amazon selection. I’m very happy with the quality and price of this product. I feel these are great to have hope don’t ever need to use it.

So important to have one in every kitchen. Safety first.

This product is awesome to have for the 'I never want to find out' but glad you had it if that dreadful fire whether big or small cones knocking at your door. Something that can be used for safety is always worth a try!
