COMFORTNIGHTS, "Complete SleepShield" Anti-Allergy Duvet and Pillow Protector Set - King-Size

Pros- My set is teabag style material and TOTALLY SILENT! YES!!!! FINALLY!!!!! Not even any noise from the pillows!- Definitely waterproof before washing. Although I think things might soak through if left for any period. I was lucky enough to clear up a senior doggo accident pretty quickly and you'd never know anything happened.- Instead of fully washing it, you can use a damp cloth to wipe it down which is really handy.- It adds about 10 togs to your summer duvet. No second winter one required. Which means....Cons- Holy hek it's hot! I had to swap my lovely new 13tog winter duvet back to the summer one because it is one sweaty betty.- I have no idea why but reports of the duvet wandering down inside the cover to the bottom are indeed correct. When I put on a new cover I'm going to add some velcro in the corners and mid-edges to keep it in place. Do yourself a favour and do this before you start.- It does clearly state NOT to use softener when washing and tumble dry on setting 1 only. I will forget this eventually and it will come out not waterproof anymore.

Feels like a protector rather than just a case. Adds extra warmth and thickness and gives some sturdiness to the duvet without being 'rustly' . Very good product, just don't machine wash on a warm full cycle or tumble dry, it will totally destroy the feel. (Yes, this is my second one 🙂) A short cool/cold wash with a short spin should do. Alternatively, hand wash in a bath and hang dry.

The actual duvet protector is great, but the 2 pillow protectors are very stiff and crunchy even after a wash to try and soften. The make large crunching noises when you move in bed which keeps us awake, so I have discarded them

This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. Thankfully it didn't cost a lot of money, that's why I took the gamble and bought it in the first place.I bought it specifically to help stop feathers poking through the duvet cover.The cover says it is breathable and waterproof. It is unfortunately also very noisy and makes you sweat buckets. My husband is bad enough sweating at night but on the 2 nights successive nights it was on our bed he could physically ring the sweat out his pyjama bottoms and my nightie was sodden too. As were the sheets and quilt cover. We had the worst two nights sleep in a long time and couldn't stand sleeping with it on the bed a minute longer.I have been trying to think what to use it for and decided it might be quite effective cut up into liners for hanging baskets. It's certainly not fit for the purpose it is being sold as. Complete and total waste of money.

I bought this because I wanted something to help with the feathers in my duvet poking through, and it does that job. However, it's so massive that my duvet gets lost in it, and in turn gets lost in my actual duvet cover and I end up sleeping with just the cover because the duvet has slipped away. My mum suggested pinning the duvet to the cover, so I may try that. It makes a slight rustling noise but personally that doesn't bother me. Didnt buy it for its waterproof qualities so can't comment on that. Handy that it zips up. If pinning my duvet in it helps, then it will be OK but if it doesn't then I will be getting rid of it, because although right now in summer it's not the end of the world that it's slipping around, in winter it will be no fun to be cold.

Poor quality item.... The material is flimsy, the protector had a broken zip and the seams cam apart whilst puttingIt on the mattress. I ordered a king size and it was too large for my king sized mattress. Don'tWaste your money on buying this.

Very plastic like. Makes you sweat while sleeping. Says it breathes on description but i removed it after 2 weeks. The zipper suturing was undone at a corner already. Too small for my king size duvet . I may cut in sections to protect upper and lower parts of duvet cover.
