it was ok
I'm more of a hard cover kinda person but I couldn't find that for a reasonable price so I opted to buy paper back. firstly the title which clearly look royal blue in the provided picture but is actually silver, mine was actually kinda worn out even, the book did not come in a tear off plastic wrap but was directly put inside the amazon package, some pages were bent and folded but NOT torn, there was no damage just a quick iron couldn't fix, the cover was in good condition but not "perfect" condition but again after the iron it was fine. I expected the cover to be a smooth matt and the centre piece (pomegranate) to be glossy, which it was but... the matt portion wasn't completely smooth it had some kind of a texture, which I didn't quite like so I covered the book it plastic and no now I'm actually quite satisfied with it.

A Must
Okay there was nothing in it that i didn't loved. Reading it again initially i was sceptical but once i started i realised it was completely different The best thing about reading it from Edward's perspective is that it completes the story from every direction thanks to his gifts. It narrates the other side is coin which turns out to be the best side. I'm sure all the fans will understand this. Also you will get to know how everything took place when Bella was unconscious. The struggle, the unconditional love, the pleasure accompanied by agony I wish all the books were written from his perspective or atleast most of it. since he gives us glimpses of other people's mind rather than having us leaving guessing for most part.

trip down memory lane
""It's twilight," I said. The time when vampires came out to play-when we never had to fear that a shifting cloud might cause us trouble-when we could enjoy the last remnants of light in the sky without worrying that we would be exposed."~Edward Cullen, Midnight Sun Rating: 2.8/5 Did I overall enjoy my reading experience? No. Would I reread it? No. BUT Would I reread certain parts ? Hell YES!! Do I regret this read? Not in a damn, I am glad to have read it. What a trip down memory lane!! I almost DNFed it...(but broke bitches can't afford that lol), so heyyyyy I finished it (woot woot)!! Midnight sun is a tough to get through , exhausting read. It was the little moments here and there (largely wrt the Cullen household), that were my fuel in reading this, and overall it was only the last 5 chapters that I like really enjoyed , for they had the rush, the thrill and the whole trauma and drama of being a bloodsucker. Well one thing is for certain, Midnight Sun was an unexpected read. Recommended to the retired Twihards( yes the ones who loooooved Edward Cullen but realised in time what a crybaby, creep he is (but shit he so cute( but shit he so territorial)) )...like it doesn't hurt to read and the nostalgia was worth it. My loves and hard to love parts...(spoilers sorry)... [ Loves: 1.The way Alice plots and strategies and is the literal saviour of Edward's ass 2.Bella's aversion to dancing 3.Edward wanting Bella to have Prom as a memory, as a testament to his role and existence in Bella's life. (This part hurt, like just two tears away from sobbing) 4.The whole Keeping up with the Cullens drama...that was fun 5. Rosalie Hale .....sorry I hated you before sis, I understand you now 6.Emmett Cullen's goofiness and elder brother protective attitude and just always being there for the fam 7.Jasper Hale (where do I get one??fast) last but not the least 8.Esme Cullen and Dr.Carlisle Cullen ....just one word...HOT and.... 9.Jealous Edward (loveeed it) Hard to love: 1.Edward swallowing Bella's tear (ew wtf) 2. The hades and Persephone analogies (like lord kill me) 3.The constant "OH I aM sO tErrIBle FoR hEr ""I cOuLD KiLl yOu BeLLa "(shut up dude...like shut up) 4. Edward counting fishes and identifying bloody insects in the middle of the meadow scene (uh yes that happened and no it wasn't an interesting part)

If you're a Twilight/Edward fan then Relive the moments again
The Book came in a Good condition. I'll just say I read the Book and fell in Love with Edward and Bella again and most importantly I fell in love with LOVE all over again. You may find reviews which says it's lengthy, exaggerated etc. But not if you're a fan, trust me, I read many pages more than 4times. Moreover you would come to know other characters more. So if you're a Twilight fan, then don't dwell on reviews and just Buy it and add it to your collection, and next time when you read the Series take Midnight Sun as your First Book instead of The Twilight Saga and fell in Love with Edward. The way He loves Bella, I hope everyone girl gets a Guy like that who cares for Her like Edward does for Bella.

You need to read this
Over the period of the two decades that it took Meyer to write Edward's version of the story, I had heard plenty of criticisms about the misshaped power–dynamics of this love story and how it is nothing but a tale of misogyny gift–wrapped in benevolent sexism. I’d had been a person at better ease if I’d seen it that way as I’ve pointedly avoided reading many love stories for this same recurring feeling of not exactly belonging. Maybe someday I’ll write my own version of a ‘detailed review’ of why this came to be an exception; but till then I’ll say, whoever had read the twilight series without dwindling into that never-ending abyss of reaching for equality in this story, whoever had not flailed to reason with themselves properly for liking it, even loving it, should definitely read this version. When I heard about this, I was so excited, but before I bought it, I wanted to know if it was worth it so I asked some friends. They said I had to get it. I am halfway through and I absolutely love it. We definitely need this in your collection.

I read this saga in my teens, so I wished that some day Midnight Sun would see the light. I was thrilled when I heard that was happening and obviously I read this book right away. After all my dream was coming to life. I expected a really good book, but I'm gladly surprised that it is actually MUCH BETTER than I expected!! I loved it!! It's so much complex and deeper than Twilight, which is great because Edward is actually a more complex character. I can't express how happy I am. It satisfied me in such a way that I can't explain. It's so complete that I can't ask for more. I'm so grateful and happy for this book. I know I shouldn't ask for more when my dream came true, but how I wish that we could have all the saga from Edward's perspective. I would die, seriously. Much love for you Mrs Meyer for giving me this happiness in those hard days of covid.
