Review: Perfect Low-cost Replacement Speaker - Purchased to replace a stock 6x9 door speaker in my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with Infinity stereo system. Mount holes lined up perfectly. Original speakers have amps attached to plate adjacent to magnet on speaker, speaker is mounted via plastic housing. I used my hot glue gun to mount amp to new speaker magnet, as it had no mounting plate, and after removing plastic housing. New speaker not as heavy as original but it sounds fine, especially for $14. I like to crank up the volume, no noticeable distortion. Will certainly purchase again if the other front door speaker goes out. I would say it's an excellent value, especially if it lasts a while. Also great that you can buy just one at a time.
