Got this for the new Astro A50 Gen 5 headset. Reviews for the headset said aftermarket earcups were better as they are typically deeper (to prevent your ears from hitting the drivers) and for sound isolation and cooling. After a couple of long gaming sessions, I definitely agree these earcups are much better than the OEM style. Better sound isolation to focus on gaming, the fit is great and my ears fit nicely inside without hitting the drivers, making it comfortable over time. It feels like much higher quality than the OEM style as well. I think this is a great value.

So a few notable things I've found is yes it changes the sound of the headset. Personally I like OEM sound, but perhaps I'm just use to it or need to change my EQ. Also the cooling gel is very nice and feels great. The quality is top notch. The isolation is very very good, I couldn't even hear someone knocking on my room door until they started pounding on it 🤣 Overall I'd say that the cushions are all around worth it, and have a very easy install. Plus you'd have 2 sets after purchasing these (oem and wc). The biggest issue is the sound alterations. (Just change EQ) solid 8/10

I’ll start by saying I literally just got my A50’s gen 4 for Xbox not even a week ago. Had 2 pairs of A40’s since the Xbox one, so I’m a big fan of them, came from turtle beach before. The factory ear cups are great, they don’t get hot necessarily, just kinda stay warm, but you never sweat wearing them. I like the fact that these have the leather outer and inner, less chance of it the fibers getting frayed over time like the stock. I bought them with the intent to try out the cooling factor of course but mainly to keep my stock ones in mint condition as a back up. First thing I noticed is they are definitely heavier than the others, i personally enjoy that, makes for a tighter fit, and the best part I’d say is it makes it almost twice as noise canceling for outside sounds. Now the sound is the main part of course, it does change it definitely. I’ve seen people say they don’t like it because it sounds muffled, the thing is, it creates a much better seal between the cup and your head, therefore; less sound dispersion, which causes a tremendous increase of bass. I’ve not been too pleased with the sound depth of the A50’s after coming from the A40’s with optical, but through a lot of tweaking the EQ on not only the Astro command center, but the Dolby access app as well, since it comes with Dolby Atmos, you can get is sounding very good for a wireless headset. Again I’m a fan of the bass so it sounds great to me, if it sounds muffled you may need to turn your bass down. I still use the optical cable with my base although I didn’t see a world of difference when I plugged it in like I did for the A40 mixamp. For anyone willing to go down this path, GadgetryTech has a perfect walkthrough of the EQ profiles for this specific earcup on YouTube, even used his code. The cooling factor is noticeable but not after too long I’d say, just take em off for a bit to charge and they will be cool again however. Overall, they do exactly what I bought them for so I can put 5 stars happily, we’ll see after the first week or so of use.

Bought these over a year ago to replace the Gen 5 stocks. Have not swapped them out since. I like running a damp microfiber towel over them with the slightest bit of soap and letting them dry over night. My main issue with the stocks was the zero noise cancellation. These add some of it by design and do not ruin the sound. Just keep in mind that you will have to mess with the G Hub app to complement the sound profile with the earpads. I would suggest GadgetryTech on YouTube for this!

I liked the design on the ear pads, made my headset look pretty nice. BUT the gel cooling pads feel semi cold for about a minute then warms up and builds humidity in the ear muffs. Eventually these began to hurt my ears during just 1 gaming session and I had to remove them. I had these on my Astro A50s. Also without touching any equalizer settings, these gave my headsets an insane amount of bass. I even turned the bass down in my equalizer settings and it still was way too much. I also loaded custom sound profiles hoping it would reduce the bass to a somewhat tolerable level, but nothing ever worked. I took these off my headsets and I’m using the original ear pads that came with my A50s. In my opinion, the original A50 pads sounds better and feel better. But if you don’t my most musty ears and bass that rattles your ear wax loose, by so means, try them.

I am quite impressed with the earpads. Very easy to swap between stock pads and these. You do feel the cool of the gel when you first put them on and it does a great job with concealing the sound and making it more noise canceling like. Def recommend if you want to have a more bass heavy and noise isolated experience.

Daje chłód przez jakieś 15s, potem efekt jest słabiutki. Są cięższe od ori, trochę lepiej izolują, bo wiadomo, że izolacja w A50 jest bardzo słaba.

Es la segunda vez que las compro, antes lo hacía para los A40, y ahora para los A50x, son muy frescas y cómodas, duran mucho y si deseas lavarlas es muy sencillo. Lo que si deben tomar en cuenta es pedir el modelo adecuado y también que como son un poco más gorditas que las almohadillas originales, cuando colocas los audífonos en su base tienes que acomodarlos un poco, ya que por lo mismo no ensambla bien a la primera. Por lo demás son muy buenas almohadillas, las super recomiendo.

Ho acquistato questi cuscinetti per le logitech astro a 50x dato che in una recensione che avevo trovato ...c'era scritto che i cuscinetti originali non hanno una cancellazione del rumore esterno ...quindi ciò che si sente nell'ambiente esterno si sente anche nelle cuffie e di conseguenza se parli con il microfono .....gli altri sentono il rumore,....con questi cuscinetti ho definitivamente risolto,s ono anche piu morbidi rispetto agli originali e non ho nemmeno avuto problemi indossandoli per ore che si riscaldino le orecchie che come c'è scritto sono dotate di gel rinfrescante.Consigliatissime

the main issue i have with these headphone cushions are that they aren't as close to how comfortable the stock ones are. they might cool for a bit but they just hurt my head when wearing. the ear holes are smaller than the original ones. I wore these for a solid couple hours, they do noise cancel but they are so loose on my head they practically fell off every few minutes. very cool looking and i was so excited for it, it sadly didn't meet the expectations it set.
