Looks good in the kitchen
This bin looks good in the kitchen and the sensor is a great idea. However, if you put hot stuff/waste in the bin or just a teabag, it discolours the inside of the lid which cannot be cleaned. This upset me a bit as it is a bit embarrassing when you’re putting things in the bin when you have guests. It doesn’t look too good when the lid comes up looking really discoloured which makes it look dirty.I now have to wait until the teabags have cooled down before I put them in the bin which is not really good as they are left in a little container in the kitchen on the side which I don’t like.

Looks great in my kitchen. Easy to use.
I keep switching it off as it lifts up every time I walk past. So the batteries run out quickly.

Very pleased with purchase
Purchased to replace another sensor bin which wouldn't shut properly. Really impressed with how the whole of the lid opens as my previous one was a bit restricted. Also really like how I can hide the whole bag so it's not showing outside. Shape and colour look really smart in my kitchen and I prefer the sensor being on the front rather than the top of the bin. Only negative which is why I haven't given 5 stars is it's noisier than my previous one but this wouldn't prevent me from buying again.

Think twice
The DPD delivery driver dropped the bin over my six foot side gate onto concrete, thus leaving a dent in the bin.The battery box lid does not fit properly and the batteries drop into the rubbish together with the lid.

Best bins ever
Bought these and was not disappointed. They are fab, look great along side each other. I use one for recycling and the other for non recycling. Highly recommend

A rubbish ending ..
So I was a little dubious about this bin - slightly mixed reviews on Amazon but the price was ok and I fancied something a little swankier than the ancient pedal bin in my kitchen. When it first arrived, we delighted in baffling visitors with how to open the bin. My niece was enchanted by me reciting spells to make the lid open, whilst secretly waving my hand past the sensor as part of my spell weaving. But alas, our joy was not to be. Several thousand sets of batteries and just over a year later, the bin has died. Gone. Kaput. And I am left with a useless cream bucket. The lid is too heavy and the handle too small to lift manually, although we did try. It doesn’t hold water as the bottom is plastic and is not sealed ( note, do not pour water in to clean the bin, water pours straight out) so I can’t even use it for anything useful. It now stands bravely defending the dirty washing in the utility room whilst I bow in defence to my new god - a working bin!! Life is good again.

Works very well but am just a bit worried about heavy usage.
Firstly let me say that I have not had this product long. In the short time I've had it it seems great and I'm very happy. Just to qualify the star ratings;Easy to clean - providing the bag is in properly then it would only be the top that would get messy but if kept clean should stay clean but has the lifting mechanism attached and could cause problems.Value for Money - yes great value providing it lasts, so far I'm very happy.Sturdiness - for a bin it is OK but I am just worried by the lid that does appear to be flimsy and is controlled by the lifting mechanism but again no complaints so far.Batteries are located in the lid and are AAs again just a bit worried how long these will last. In my opinion should have had higher capacity batteries.A good product for the money but perhaps a bit OTT for a bin where you just put you foot on a pedal, but I do like gadgets.
