Great quality light

Got these for a little nano tank. Good sturdy materials and quality. Easy to assemble. spectrum is ok for fish - corals don’t do so well.. Few of important points:1. This comes with a step down transformer plug so don’t worry about comments about dangerous 13 amp plugs2. Remote seems a little flimsy but the integrated controls on the electrical cord will probably be all you need.3. These aren’t fabulously bright so won’t kick it for a large tank - mine is just a tiny 30l bedside ultra nanoOverall good quality and value. Would definitely recommend for fish but not corals. You can’t lose to be honest if are in the UK you have a statutory 12 months guarantee on electrical goods

Looked like this would be a really decent piece of kit. Solid metal light, lens, remote...the works.'Works' being the operative word. Attempted to switch it on and....nothing. I tried 2 sets of batteries in the remote and plugged into 2 different sockets.....still nothing.Pretty disappointed!

I got this light to use on a Jellyfish tank when I got a species that required full spectrum lighting. Great little unit, good spread perfect for a small tank and looks quite funky. Easy to clamp on and position. Can adjust the 4 channels individually. Very pleased with it, definity recommend. Remote feels a bit cheap and cheerful but works fine.

I think mine must be faulty, the transformer makes a constant hissing noise, even when off, and the remote doesn't seem to work at all, and the light unit was getting really really hot, I am returning this unit. However saying that, this little light looks and feels like quality, the navy blue lights look great in the evening (if you can work out how to get them on) so I have ordered another one hoping the first is faulty... I will let you know !

I purchased this light for my newly set up 15l marine pico which is running alongside my 300l tank and another sps pico. This tank was meant to be set up on a budget, to host a pair of baby clownfish so I started off with a cheap light which made the colours look dull and even my mushrooms looked unhappy. I came across the Nano Asta light on Amazon and after doing some research, I decided to give it a go. I have now had it for just over a month and am very happy with it. The unit is well built and comes with a solid UK plug, unlike some cheaper versions I've tried before. There were 2 lenses included, I am using the narrower one as my tank is only a 15l cube (approx. 25cm side). The light is perfectly adequate for it but I think it would easily light a larger tank too. The gooseneck seems solid, easy to adjust but stiff enough to keep its shape. Then you have the usual clamp with plastic screws which can be clipped in various positions on the tank side. It provides a secure fit and I am confident the light will stay in place even if it gets knocked.Then there is the remote. It took me a while to work out what does what, probably because I didn't pay much attention to the instructions but once you get the hang of it, it offers great control and there are many different options to be had. I am still experimenting, having it on full power during the day but dimmed down, with mainly blues on at dusk and dawn.Colours are good. The tank contains various soft corals (mushrooms, polyps, Kenya tree, small leather and some zoas) but there are also some LPS (frogspawn and a small chalice) which seem much happier since I upgraded their light, plus the colours have really popped now.Nothing negative to say so far. Lovely little light and I am considering adding one to my big tank to add light to a dark corner.

I do like the look of this light, its sturdy and fits fine but the remote control ruins it as ch 1 does not work or ch 3. I believe that ch 1 is supposed to be blue lights but as I say it does not work,it either does nothing or it switched the lights off. Its very unresponsive so its seems to me the only way I can use it is full power or ch 4. It is a real shame as I really like the look of it. Thank you
