Great investment!
To say I’m impressed is an understatement! This machine has done an amazing job. I will disclose that I did not use bissel cleaner. It used professional grade stain and urine remover. I have a trouble cat who likes to pee on my carpet and needed something strong. I did have to fill the water container up quite a bit and empty frequently but it was great at pulling the fluid out of the carpet. The clean up was also very easy and user friendly. Everything came apart super easy and it even came with a little tool to clean all the stuck hair out. Would 100% recommend this product!

I'm impressed !
I'm impressed ! This Bissell carpet shampooer works better than I'd have dared imagine. We have 8 cats, and let's just say a couple of them had messy accidents on my beige carpet. I won't go into detail, but suffice it to say that now you can not tell it happened. I found the shampooer very convenient to use. Light-weight as shampooers go. And I like the fact it's extremely easy to add water / cleaner to the top tank. You can even do it without removing the tank from the cleaner. The bottom (dirty) tank is also very easy to remove and empty. You do not need to collapse the handle to remove it, as I had to do on my 25-year-old Hoover. And I was absolutely amazed at the amount of pet fur I found in the dirty tank. This shampooer really pulls the fur out of the carpet. In 25 years with the Hoover, I never found any fur in the dirty water tank. Kudos to Bissell ! Yes, this is a plastic machine. But it's light-weight and works well -- at least on my initial use. I especially like the fact that the accessory hose is removable from the main unit, so you are not forced to carry around the (usually unused) hose and attachment while shampooing a carper -- as I had to do with my old Hoover. I agree the placement of the power switch on the main unit rather than on the handle is strange. But as an engineer, I understand that such placement eliminates the need to run wiring up the handle, and to install a connector that would carry power to the base unit. So, for the sake of reliability, cost, and simplicity of assembly, I believe Bissell made a good choice. And in truth, it's not really an inconvenience to bend over to switch the shampooer on or off. However, Bissell DID put a spray trigger switch on the handle. I consider that a necessity, and it works exactly as expected. I mention this, because apparently the Shark shampooers do not have such a trigger, and the fluid simply runs all the time. I cannot imagine hou you'd use a carpet cleaner that constantly dispenses fluid. Anyway, this Bissell Carpet Shampooer worked for me right out of the box. So count me among the 86% who love it !

It's so efficient, I think it creates dirt
BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet carpet cleaner is great ! After 30 years my Hoover SteamVac with rotating brushes died (a pretty good run), so a replacement was needed. The reviews on the Bissell ProHeat sounded good. Amazon got it here the next day. Set up was easy. Anyone who has ever operated a home appliance could set it up without reading the instructions, but they did keep me from making any mistakes. With the clean water tank filled HOT tap water and 2oz of rug cleaner soap it was time to head to the carpet. I swear this machine creates dirt! I mean, my carpet couldn't have been THAT dirty, could it? The mud colored mess that it sucked up made me question what the old Hoover had been doing all those years. The roller brush brought up so much dirt! The Bissell has 3 cleaning settings, mine was set at DEEP, not MAX or EXPRESS. The only difference I can see between the settings is the amount of cleaning solution that is dispensed. The motor or vacuum didn't seem to change. With about half of the cleaning solution reservoir empty the pitch of the motor changed and it was time to empty the dirty water container. The container slid out easily and after popping the rubber stopper, the mess was down the drain. I gave it a quick rinse, just because, and went to reinstall it. It took my a few tries to get it back in, it is a tight fit and goes in easily once you figure it out. Then back to the carpet cleaning. Clean up was not difficult. A quick rinse of the clean solution tank and that was done. The dirty return tank, rinsed out well, but some fibers were caught in the center tube and unscrewing the bottom of the tank and a toothpick were needed to remove the debris. The plastic Brush Roller Cover came off. At first I was too cautious before I realized it was secured well and needed a bit more effort than I was putting into removing it. More carpet fibers were in the vacuum and needed to be cleaned out using the included tool. Nothing difficult in that. I wish there was an easier way to access the roller brushes other than laying the unit over onto the floor, but the included tool again did a great job. All in all I have used this unit for about a month, gone through at least 2 quarts of rug shampoo and found it does a outstanding job at cleaning my carpet. My animal companions are birds and it does a wonderful job when they hit the carpet and not the cage. A few things I wish were different, but they are very minor and specific to me. I'm 5'9" and wish the handle was an inch or two longer. The lever to unlock the handle is activated with a foot press on the right side of the unit, great. The On/Off stitch is a button on the side of the handle that you need to press with your finger. Why the engineers decided to go with that and not a foot switch is beyond me. You need to do some cleaning of the machine after use and not just finish and put it away. I would certainly buy this unit again

The Turbo Exceeded My Expectations!
Update: 2/13/2024 It didn’t pass a turd test…💁. My dogs have a washable pee pad. I put very expensive disposable and scented pee pads on top of the washable one. Before you place judgement on the idea I put pee pads in my washing machine, know that I own two sets of washers and dryers. One for people stuff and one for pet stuff and lightweight rugs. So back to my story… I accidentally stepped on a tiny dog turd. Didn’t know it and ended making about 4 turd tracks on my carpet. The majority of the turd was still stuck to my flip flop but I left turd tracks behind. Sigh. So I got out my machine and BioKleen to get it up. Well…. My machine couldn’t do the job. I had to get out my handheld Bissell pet cleaner to get it up. I’m a little disappointed…I guess I can’t have everything. 💁 Original Review: Where do I start..? I already owned the regular Pro Heat and decided to purchase the Turbo because I really wanted a machine that would suck up more water from my carpeting. Both machines work great but not gonna lie, the Turbo exceeded my expectations! I have two dogs. One is a senior and the other is a puppy. As you can imagine, both have accidents in my house. Wish they didn’t but they do. My carpet in my bedroom takes a beating from them because that’s where they hang out at when I’m at work and of course they sleep with me so they are in my bedroom throughout the night. Needless to say, my carpet can be a little stinky at times. Drives me nuts but I love my dogs. What to do… Sigh. 🤷♀️ I heavily sprayed my carpet with BioClean enzyme carpet cleaner. I let it dry. Then I used my new Turbo machine with the Bissell anti-bacterial cleaning solution. Set my machine on Max Clean and went to cleaning. The machine did a Fantastic job! It sucked up more water from the carpets than my regular Pro Heat. Just what I wanted! Turbo Machine: 1). Loud just like the regular Pro Heat 2). Definitely sucks up more water from the carpeting. I heavily cleaned my carpet and it was dry by the next morning. That was never the case with the regular Pro Heat. 3). I love the three cleaning options: Express Clean, Deep Clean or Max Clean 4). Did an excellent job cleaning my carpets. No more stains or stinky pee pee smell. 5). Highly recommend. Easy to assemble, Easy to use, easy to clean up, and reasonably priced. Whether you have pets or not, this machine does an excellent job at cleaning carpets. If you are on the fence, don’t be. Put the Turbo in your cart and hit the Buy button. You won’t be disappointed. 👍🏻

A Reliable Deep Cleaner That Handles Pet Accidents with Ease
If you live with a dog, you already know that accidents happen — not often, but often enough that having the right tool matters. This carpet cleaner has proven to be incredibly convenient and consistently effective when those moments arise. The rotating brush bars really make a difference. They provide extra agitation and cleaning power, especially important when dealing with pet messes that work their way deep into the carpet fibers. On our very plush carpet, this added action has been essential to getting things truly clean rather than just surface-level fresh. One thoughtful design feature we especially appreciate is the cap used for filling the cleaning solution. Measuring directly from the BISSELL solution bottle is simple and mess-free — no guessing, no spills. Even better, the ability to control how much solution is dispensed onto the carpet gives you real flexibility. With thicker, plush carpeting, being able to fine-tune moisture levels helps prevent over-wetting while still delivering excellent cleaning results. The suction power is impressive. It does a great job pulling the solution back out of the carpet, which means faster drying times and no lingering dampness. That’s a big deal when you want your space back to normal quickly. Cleanup after use is also refreshingly easy. Emptying and rinsing the tanks doesn’t feel like a chore, which makes this machine something you’re actually willing to use when needed — not something you dread pulling out of the closet. Overall, this carpet cleaner strikes a great balance between power, control, and ease of use. For pet owners especially, it’s a practical, reliable solution that delivers peace of mind and truly clean carpets when it matters most.

Awful Steam Cleaner-Avoid At All Costs
Quick Take: This machine will soak your carpets then leave them wet while spitting out hairballs and mashing then into your rug as you attempt to dry. I usually am not one to leave reviews, but in this case, my experience with this machine was so bad that if I can save you the trouble of buying/experiencing the awful non-cleaning and having to return this machine, then it'll be worth it. Background: I'm presently trying to find a good machine for pets/pet messes/steam-cleaning carpets. Something easy to use that is effective. I'm not overly picky, I just want it to work and be easy to use. If it's easy to clean afterwards, and easy to store and can work on stairs, bonus! I've compared the Best Of choices online and read user reviews. So far I've tried: -Big Green Machine (that you can rent from Ace or similar store): Great machine, works well, but super heavy and cumbersome and you have to rent it each time. -Hoover PowerDash Pet Compact Carpet Cleaner, Shampooer Machine. Not great. Also spit out hairballs (but at least spit them to the side) and the brushes get very gross quickly with no easy way to clean. To clean requires removing 6 separate screws--wasn't ideal. Returned. This is my third try, and this is a whole other story of dysfunctional machinery. As another negative reviewer pointed out, the machine is poorly built so it's dysfunctional when it needs to suck up the water. The front is simply not heavy enough. The reviewer noted that you could put a 20 lb sack of rice on it to make it work. Indeed. I ended up doing something that resembled performance art as I tried to press the front down with one foot while pushing it forward. The result was a little bit of water sucked up. In the meantime the machine is mashing hairballs into the carpeting (long and short carpeting) leaving the carpet soaked. It requires that you following behind, picking the hairballs out of your carpet. The entire process left me feeling that the carpet was dirtier than when I began. Ignore the good reviews here. This machine (though rated Best of The Year by many online articles) is not the best. Far, far from it. Awful experience.

ALL the rugs better look out!
I’m really happy with this purchase. I was hesitant to spend the money, but it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than buying new carpet and rugs! See the before/after photos of one of the rugs that I cleaned with this machine. This rug was at my place of work, where there is a lot of foot traffic. The before picture is AFTER I washed it TWICE in a washing machine! I thought the rug was just ruined until I saw what just one pass with the carpet cleaner did. It was so satisfying watching the dirty water get sucked up! I went on to clean the carpets in my home, along with a couch and ottoman, all with satisfying results. A couple tips after using this a few times on seriously dirty rugs and carpets: - It’s loud. Especially if you’re using the hose attachments with the thing roaring right next to you on the floor. Maybe wear earplugs. - It works. If you use it to spot-clean carpets that are all-over dirty, you’ll be disappointed that your previously stained spots stand out even more, because now they’re cleaner than the rest of the carpet. So, if you start with dirty carpets like I did, you have to commit and do it all. - Water tank is small. Be prepared to change the water often. If you don’t have a deep sink or extension hose sprayer thingy on your faucet, you will need to fill a separate container first, and then pour it into the tank. - Even after vacuuming thoroughly, the spinning brush pulls up a lot of hair that you didn’t even know was there, which is great! BUT, it will clog your sink and even possibly tangle in your disposal, so definitely dump the dirty water into the toilet, especially if you have pets. - The provided bottle of solution (if you buy that package) is sample-size. It will last one tank-full, which I used on one 5x7 area. When it runs out and you do the next section without it, you’ll realize how well it worked, and will be tempted to shell out more money for more of that magic. - More on the hair- the clumps of hair it pulls up can get stuck in the clear sucky part, which will eventually affect its suckage. They provide a nifty tool to help clean it, which is great, but it’s still not easy or fun. - I regret not buying the package that includes a rubber mat. I thought it was silly, until I moved the machine after using the hose attachments on a couch, and there was a grey “footprint” of the machine on my carpets, which I had (of course) just cleaned. Good thing I had a carpet cleaner handy! But, the mat would have saved that minor annoyance, and would make a nice place to store the machine as well. I think that’s it! A few minor inconveniences, but my clean rugs and carpets are worth it!

Wow! This Thing Works!
Really pleased with my purchase. When I first took the deep cleaner out of the box, I was skeptical. It's made mostly out of plastic and seemed a little flimsy. I wasn't sure how well it would hold up. But honestly, I'm pretty impressed. Pros: - This is a light machine. Even with liquids in the tank, it's easy to move around. - The agitating brushes and the suction are excellent. The filth that came out of my entry rug inside my front door was impressive. I went over the rug several times and it just kept pulling dirt out. - The machine is very easy to clean and maintain. There are some thoughtful design decisions that make cleanup a breeze. - Although my initial impression is that the machine is flimsy, the light weight is a positive thing-- especially if you're hauling up and down stairs. Neutral Thoughts: - Not sure how well the "ProHeat" works. I only cleaned a small runner rug. So, there was hardly time for the cleaning solution to cool. In fact, I'm not sure the "ProHeat" feature is much of a selling point for me. See "Cons" for more. - The price is a little high, but you do get several attachments for cleaning stairs and deep cleaning carpet stains. Cons: - Regarding "ProHeat", it's an essentially useless feature if you're going to use your solution immediately (with hot water from the tap). - The dirty water tank is tiny. They make it look like it should hold a gallon or so, but if you look at the side of the tank, the "Full" line is only about 40% of the total volume of the tank. - Because of the small dirty water tank, you'll be emptying the tank frequently on larger deep cleaning jobs. Anyway, despite some of the "cons" of this machine, I would recommend it. I didn't want to use a nasty rented carpet cleaner (who knows where it's been). Since I have an entire second floor that's carpeted, as well as several area rugs on the first floor of my home, investing in a carpet cleaning machine made sense.
