I am giving this pillow 5 stars, though it did not work for me. I think it will be an excellent find for some who are looking for the qualities this pillow has. First of all, it is excellent quality. It does have a factory smell that I believe will dissipate after a couple days. It is definitely a firm. Like very firm. I am shocked to see people saying this is not a firm pillow. I have been looking for a firm pillow. I have tried 5 so far. They have all been too soft. Then comes this one and somehow it's too hard. I was so bummed. It's also very tall and because it is firm, I didn't sink in far enough into it and it made my neck hurt. I think it'll be awesome for someone else though. I envy that person because this is a great pillow. One thing I want to point out is that in the images for the pillow, it states it is 6 inches. In the product description it says 5 inches. It is in fact 6 inches. I was glad for this at first thinking I maybe wouldn't sink to the bottom. Instead it ended up being too tall. Overall this is a very quality pillow. Firm and supportive. I hope this helps someone in the pillow buying crisis like myself.

Comfy pillow but could be a lot more firm. I still have to use a second pillow to get the support I need. Works better solo when I sleep on my back but I'm generally a side sleeper so stuck with two pillows. Was hoping for a firmer pillow.

Very well made, but they are hard as rocks, firm is an understatement. I returned them immediately because I felt like I was sleeping on a board if you like a very firm hello there would be great, but not for me.

Love this pillow! I am very picky about my pillow, and have tried many over the last few years. This is by far the best one! Just the right amount of firmness, but not uncomfortable. Constant neck pain due to herniated discs make it challenging to get comfortable, but this helps. It is a good value for the price. Highly recommend this pillow!

This is the worst pillow I have ever bought, and I have bought at least 15 pillows in the last twenty years. IT DOES NOT COOL! Also it's very thick and not soft or comfortable, do not waste your money!

I don't know why they have different pillows all under the same listing because it lumps together the reviews. Some of the pillows are listed as soft and fluffy while some are foam and firm so it makes the reviews incorrect and inconsistent. This review is for the Essential Cooling Pillow. First, The listing is incorrect it is not 2 inches thick, it is 5.5 inches thick. I caught this before ordering it because I wouldn't be buying a 2 inch thick pillow. Second, The pillow is listed as firm however it is not firm at all. Your head sinks into it about 3 inches, leaving the pillow about 2 inches thick. That isn't firm. If you are looking for a medium soft memory foam pillow with a nice cover at a moderate price, maybe it is for you. But it wasn't for me. I returned it and went with the Weekender for half the price and a firm feel.

This pillow completely changed the way I sleep. The foam gives just the right amount of support without feeling too firm. It also stays cool through the night which is a big deal for me since I tend to overheat. I used to wake up with a sore neck and now I wake up feeling rested. I didn’t realize how much difference the right pillow could make until I tried this one. If you’re worried about spending so much on a pillow, I’d like to assure you that getting a restful sleep IS worth it!

Worth the wait to get this pillow in Europe. Was available in king size for a good price and is definitely worth it.

The pillow is either hard to break or it's just a little too thick for my neck. I still sleep very well on it however, laying on the side or on my back. If it was a few millimeters thinner, the fit would be perfect. It gets difficult to fit a pillow cover because of the thickness as well.

This pillow is massive and gave me neck issues, feel like its too big for anyone. Gf hates it
