Adventure bag! Worth Every penny!
I haven't slept the night and yet but went outside and tested it. It is so warm! I was in pajamas and crawled inside and got too hot once the bivy was on. It's winter where I'm at right now, and according to Google it was 35°. This is not the same as the genuine military one that I used to have. I was very sad when I lost it and my dad who gave it to me recommended I buy this one. I could not be happier! I can't wait to take it on adventures. Yes it is heavy, but that weight is worth it for me. Knowing that I have multiple sleep options for any environment, that I will stay dry and warm and comfortable is worth hauling it around. We also did a water test with some bottled water pouring over it while I was inside and I noticed no leaks. I also love the fact that there is a cinch cord for the bivy that you can reach inside of it to make sure that nothing will get in. The only thing that I dislike about it, which is more of a nitpick than anything, is how long it takes to roll back up. It's actually a good thing that it takes so long for the air to get out, it means that it's well sealed and it's probably not going anywhere anytime soon. But it could be a pain in the butt if you had to pack up camp quick. But I'm sure my dad knows a trick or two to make the process quicker. Also, I'm 6 ft and there's room enough for me and probably my dog in there. There's definitely enough room to slip a sleeping pad in between the bivy and the sleeping bag so that it doesn't roll out from under you in the middle of the night. One thing I would recommend, buy a reusable dehumidifier pack. I used one in my old one to take care of any condensation that might have built up from breathing in the night. Don't know about this one but it was a very slight occasional problem with my old one. They're cheap and definitely worth throwing in the bottom of your bivy sack so that it can help dry it out. If you value being comfortable and know that a good night's sleep helps you get further on the trail the next day this is definitely worth every penny.

Great quality but bulky.
I had a system similar to this in the Army, which allowed me to camp in several different climates. I recently spent a week in the mountains of Wyoming, and only using the bivy cover and intermediate bag, it was more than warm enough. The next night, the temperature dropped to 46 degrees, and I only used the intermediate bag and had no issues. The quality of the components is very well-made, with the buttons and zippers working well. The only downside is if you plan on using this backpacking/hiking, it is very bulky and pretty heavy. You could manage using the bivy cover and a sleeping bag liner in decent weather. The bivy is waterproof/resistant and will cover your head as well. This system is very versatile and is well worth the money.

I BOUGHT 3 MORE AFTER THE FIRST ONE, HERE'S WHY
I initially purchased one of these modular sleeping bags in woodland camo. I have an HQ brand modular sleeping bag that is over 8 years old and still going strong. In comparison to the HQ the first thing you notice is that these MT brand modular bags are larger in size ( see product photos ) so if you are budding out solo, I would suggest an A.L.I.C.E. or aluminum framed backpack to support the bag. That said a creative way of packing would be to put some of your gear and provisions inside the modular bag prior to rolling up, depending on the gear of your choice. So in comparison to size, if that is an issue then you may want to find a more compact modular bag HOWEVER!I enjoy the larger size because if you find yourself claustrophobic in mummy style bags and or are a larger person, these MT modular bags are exactly what you need. The MT bag is spacious and full of leg room.As for the temperature ratings this is what makes a modular bag the most versatile bag. There are several combinations you can choose depending on the weather, if it is below 32' F I am confident a person could sleep under the stars using all 3 bags. There is also the combination of just using either the green middleweight bag with or without the rain fly outer shell. or the black heavyweight bag with or without the rain fly and simply just using the rain fly solo in hot summer or rainforest situations. Choose any combination thereafter. As for the water resistance, compared to other nylon fabrics that are silky / shiny in appearance, the rain fly on these are a softer matte fabric but still shell water...I could go on and on about this bag, the zippers are strong and buttons snap very well. The bag is super hot and warm and retains heat very well, there is padding for the headrest and a velcro patch for full coverage over the head once inside..My only gripe is the larger size when rolled up, but the trade off is a much more down filled warmer bag with more leg room inside.I purchased 3 more after the initial one so that alone should say something, I am very rough on my gear and these are holding up nicely..

Best sleeping system I've ever owned.
Pros: Comfortable Modular and adjustable to temperature needs Large and roomyCons: On the expensive side Fairly bulky Compression sack is very poor qualityOverall: I never had these while I was in the service. We had the older sleeping bags, and I never got to use one of these, and I wish I had. It's very comfortable, and you can adjust it to whatever comfort level you need. Combined with a poncho liner this system will easily keep you warm and dry in just about any climate. It's expensive, and a little bulky, but well worth it.The compression sack sucks, though. I would have though that it would have a better compression sack for the price. It is pretty low quality; thin polyester, the buckles are only fair strength, and the stitching is a bit weak. The eyelet for the opening draw string pulled out the first time I tightened it, a buckle broke when I was packing up after the first use, and the stitching ripped a little. It won't last more than a few more uses. But, I can always get a better one, so it certainly is not a big issue.

I purchased one of these sleep systems back in 2021 it was ok, this second purchase shows an improved build quality all around.

Guter Nachbau
