These omegas are high in EPA, with roughly a ratio of 3:1 EPA:DHA. I haven’t found any other capsules suitable for vegans with these levels. My personal experience was noticing a great improvement in my mood and my mood being more stable after 3 weeks of taking 2 pills daily. I’m sure there are other health benefits as well! The pills have a sweet orange scent when they are fresh. I found the best place to buy them is at my local vitamin store. In the past Amazon has delivered them in the sunniest area of my front yard instead of in the shade and that has ruined the capsules. You can tell they’re rancid because the oil smells like cardboard. So do take note of that and possibly protect your order by including delivery instructions if ordering through Amazon- tell them to leave your order in a cool place or the shade. Or just go to your local vitamin store to get them fresh!

Thank goodness this product exists as it is difficult to find a vegan omega-3 supplement with the proper EPA/DHA ratio. Thank you!

As long as you take these Omega-3s with food there is no fishy taste or after-taste. Best value of all the high EPA supplements out there. They are much more expensive than fish oil because they are from algae, but well worth the price. My scientific source is Dr. Janelle Sinclair, PhD in biochemistry, who recommends 1 to 2 grams per day of EPA (with a ratio of at least 2 times EPA as DHA) for those seeking improved cerebral function.

This product seems to work well. It is a novel combination of DHA and EPA, more like a reverse of the usual ratio, with higher than usual levels of each. However, the price is much more than competing Vegan brands. If they choose to lower their price quite a bit, I would certainly choose them over many brands. Only 4 stars because of exorbitant price. As a separate note, this brand sells mostly fish oil products. This is their only Vegan labeled product.

I'd like to see a third party test these, but until that happens, this seems to be the highest vegetarian EPA supplement out there, almost matching high EPA fish oil supplements which is super impressive. They have test results on the Oceanblue site, and it looks like they're sourcing this from a company called KD Nutra. 40$ a bottle seems pretty fair for this -- I hope they can keep the price low and the test results are replicated. Almost seems to good to be true!

Nothing appears to be wrong with the actual soft gels. The only issue is the bottle was only 20% filled and I counted and there were 37 when they were supposed to be. I'm not sure I've ever counted the pills in my bottles before, but this makes me think I should when there's a high price per piece. **** update: I ordered another bottle because the pills seem good and they have the high EPA to DHA ratio I want. This second bottle had a perfect count so hopefully that first bottle was just a one-off mistake

These omega-3s are great. They were the highest dose of EPA I could find in a vegan capsule. Easy to swallow. No terrible aftertaste or burps. I worry that supplements are not well standardized and may not contain what the bottle claims. I emailed customer service about third party testing. They quickly replied that although they are not currently verified by NSF or USP, that they are tested by Eurofins and Friends of the Sea.

These are my favorite veggie Omega-3. Great quality and ratios of omegas.
