It’s a seal…. But it can’t swim and doesn’t eat fish.
It didn’t fit the model number if searched for - it seems two versions of that model were made. What is important though, is that the seal is joined using a metal insert so the length of the vertical sides can be adjusted by cutting the joining piece out and reinserting it, glued with some high temperature silicone oven sealant. Using the jointing inserts from the old and new seals I was able to shorten each side and it works great!!

Easy to fit but not a good fit
Too bit hooks fit into holes in cooker but seal is saggy I have glued with heat seal this is my model number hotpoint HAE51K have re ordered a different one as the heat goes up into the grill so definitely not sealing
