Good products and I LOVE the kit, but the price gouging is insane.. I told my aging mother about this product and she went and bought it too.. I don't know what price SHE ended up paying for, but I guarantee it was much more than what I paid for it. Which is Predatory and I expect better from a brand that is WHITE LABELING from China factories [White-label products are sold by retailers with their own trademark but the products themselves are manufactured by a third party]. I only paid $31.64 TOTAL for the whole kit (which who's to say its even worth that)–and now its listed for $69.00 ($6.63 per fluid ounce) which is more than DOUBLE what I paid for it.. Do better you scummy bottom of the barrel scammers! I love the anti fall serum, the form factor, the smell is amazing, and it does what it says it does. Im proud of the INCI list, as I am a hawk when it comes to reading INCI lists.. But not for that new price thats listed.. I love the lather of the shampoo, how it makes my hair feels, less hair fall in the drain, but not for that new price.. I totally would purchase this again! ONLY if it was back listed for the original $30 that I paid for ORIGINALLY. I feel sorry for my poor mother who is already getting old and already has to deal with the menopausal affects of hair loss, so not only does she have to deal with loosing hair from getting old, but also has to deal with getting outright scammed IN THIS ECONOMY for her coins! Now she's a victim of price gouging. Not cool Nioxin! CEO Eva Graham should feel ashamed of this type of behavior and I hope she thinks about her mom if she reads this! Customer service and 'Wella Operations US LLC ' can send an extra kit and I'll mail it straight to my mother–if they choose to make up for it in any way shape or form. FYI if you were to still sell at $30 you STILL are making a decent profit margin, so stop being greedy and do better! You gain more long-term revenue through higher sales volume, stronger customer loyalty, repeat purchases, and trust-based brand equity instead of maximizing for short-term margin on each product. The lower unit margin would be offset by stronger repeat purchase behavior and higher lifetime customer value, the The Ordinary for example!

I wanted to wait until 2 months after use before posting my honest review. I’ve been using Nioxin hair serum consistently for about 67 days. I apply it directly to my scalp (I part my hair into sections, then spray), I then use a scalp massager massaging my scalp for 3 minutes. I’ve been doing this twice a day. My hair is fairly healthy, but I’ve been having issues with shedding since summer. I have fine hair that’s low density. What I’ve experienced since I started using is little to no shedding- definitely shedding less than the normal 50-100 strands. In the 2 plus months I have about 2 inches of hair growth (I purchased one of those hair growth tracking tshirts). I find many serums/oils boast hair growth, but few talk about growth retention. My hair is stronger and most importantly thicker. Overall I love it and find it to be very effective! Now a very small minus is the smell which takes some getting used to. The product has a sandalwood smell which I am not a fan! What I did to “lessen” the smell is I apply 1-2 small sprays closely to my scalp then I spread the serum across my scalp using my finger- I don’t smell anything doing this. The serum doesn’t make your hair oily or greasy after applying. You can use sparingly (1-2 pumps) then use a scalp massager to spread it around. I purchased for 50 USD, but I feel like this will last me 4-5 months even applying twice a day. I don’t think it has protein in it which is great because I am protein sensitive and I find many of the popular hair oils contain protein. Overall it’s a great product and I will continue to use it.

Good product. Absolutely horrible smell. Not sure how long I can use this because I can smell it all day long. I used it before bed and the smell wakes me up it’s that intense

The price is a bit high, but it’s worth it because this is the only thing I’ve tried that not only stopped my hair from falling out & making it feel extremely thin, but I see the baby hairs growing in like crazy & it started working within a week!!! This will be my 3rd bottle of the serum & 2nd bottle of shampoo. This is my favorite hair product! I use the serum daily & it’s the easiest way to keep my hair healthy & strong!!! 🩷

I don't know how well this product works because I simply could not get over its pungent fragrance. Gross. Listen, I love Nioxin. I've been an avid fan and daily user of its various leave-in products for years. YEARS. But, this is the first Nioxin product I had to throw out because it just smells SO BAD. The smell is not only pungent and strong, it's just straight-up bad. It smells like an incredibly offensive men's cologne - like cigars, tobacco, whiskey, smoke, and alcohol. It's so strong that it caused an eczema flare-up on my neck!! That was the final straw for me - if it hadn't triggered that eczema flare-up, I would've done my best to ignore the fragrance and I would've continued to use this product to test its effectiveness. But, after just three (3!!) uses, my neck became super red, itchy, scaly, and inflamed. Once I stopped using the product, my skin completely calmed down. I wanted to give Nioxin the benefit of the doubt so, after a long pause, I picked this up again. Bad idea. Alas, just three (3) uses in, once again, my eczema flared-up like crazy. This is definitely a NO-GO for me. Nioxin, can you PLEASE make this fragrance-free or with a lighter fragrance?!

I've been using this along with the required shampoo and conditioner from Nioxin for over a year. It has slowed some hair shedding but hasn't stopped it and hasn't caused any regrowth. Probably going to stop all of these soon due to cost and lack of stopping the fallout and no regrowth as others experienced.

I have been using this product consistently now for about 3 months, and I have to say I absolutely love it. My hair is definitely thicker and stronger than it was before. I am also very surprised at the people who are going on about the smell. It does have a scent, but it's a very clean & minty scent that I actually really like, and have received compliments on- so it's funny to me to see people saying the smell is horrible. I completely disagree. I will also say that I do not use this product alone. I use the Nioxin Night Density Rescue Serum, the Nioxin System 2 shampoo/conditioner kit, and I also take prescription Finasteride and Minoxidil. I have found that the best way to get amazing results is to do multiple things simultaneously that are proven to get results. Sure, I'm not exactly sure which of them is doing the most help, but I think together they all do the best job. Way to go, Nioxin!

This stuff is AMAZING! I had been noticing my shedding a lot more than usual lately. It seemed everytime I touched my hair I was loosing strands and I was started to get scared. I went to the doctor and found out I have low iron and low vitamin D which I’ve been taking vitamins for but in the meantime I wanted to get something that could stop the excess shedding before I ended up with bald patches. After the first wash and night of using the serum, the difference was insane!!! I’ve only been using this product for 3 days so far but I already see a HUGE difference in the amount of shedding. I loose maybe 20 strands of hair a day just from regular brushing which is a normal amount, considering I was literally loosing 2 to 3 clumps of hair before. The serum does have a strong smell but I just apply it at night before bed and the scent is gone by the morning. The shampoo does state to use daily but due to my hair being dry and curly I only use it twice a week, despite that I’ve still seen great results!

I bought this serum in May and have been using it consistently twice a week since then — and it’s been fantastic! My hair was shedding a lot due to stress, but now it feels fuller, healthier, and more beautiful. I’m genuinely so happy with this purchase and will definitely be buying more. Yes, the scent is very strong — and I’m someone who usually avoids strong smells, especially before bed. But I found that applying it early in the morning works perfectly; by nighttime, the scent has faded completely. This isn’t a hair growth serum but a density booster — and it absolutely delivers on that promise.

Honestly save your money, the only ingredient that's helping here is the caffeine. The research around benefits of sandalore is very preliminary and apart from making your scalp smell like incense it's likely not doing anything. If this was a more appropriately priced I would rate it higher (maybe)

I’m happy to say that it seems like NIOXIN is working for me. I’m experiencing hair loss due to getting older.. after three weeks of use, I can visibly see that I am not losing as much hair when I wash and when I brush my hair. I personally don’t care for the smell. It’s not too strong. It smells less after the first day. I definitely recommend and I will be buying this again.

This stuff works. I see a lot of comments saying it doesn’t but this product isn’t meant to create new hair growth, it’s to stop your hair from shedding like crazy. I noticed a huge difference in how much hair was in my brush every day. I stopped using it for a week and there was a noticeable amount of hair falling out compared to when I used it. The only complaint is the smell. Somewhat overwhelming in my opinion. Will repurchase.
