I’ve had the Amaran 300C for about a month and a half now and in that time I’ve used it on a number of film projects. It’s honestly been such a workhorse and powerhouse of a light. The wireless control via the Sidus Link app has been invaluable and the fact that this light can not only access a range of CCT and RGB values, means I can use it in a number of different scenarios without the need for gels. While the build is mostly plastic, the light uses a premium feeling plastic and the build of it seems robust. It is also comprised of metal components where it is likely to get the most abuse. The styrofoam carry case the light comes with is also fantastic and incredibly useful for storing and transporting the light, compared to other lights I’ve bought in the past. If you’ve previously only used cheaper lights, this is well worth the upgrade as the product is an investment and if you’ve previously only used more expensive lights, I’d say this is easily comparable to the quality and functionality of those as I was using these on film sets alongside some of Aputure’s more high end lights and this never once felt like it was out of place on those film productions.

SO glad I bought this. If you haven't already, check out the app's capabilities that links to this. It's consistently updated, making this thing even more useful and quick to set up/control. The build quality is lovely, and the overall design looks so good and modern compared to similar lights. If you're filming in small closed spaces a lot, the 150c will most likely do you fine as the transformer pack on this is huge, but if you want to go out all guns blazing, this is the one to get.

A substantial device, which comes packaged in its own high quality suitcase. It's a full colour point source led design, so you'll need snoots or reflectors (it's Bowen's compatible, of course) but this product gives superb functionality. I used this on a Sony 4K camcorder and a Canon DSLR in 4K video mode. The LCD panel is superb for on the fly adjustments and the AC power supply is protected against shorts. The SIDI interface enables app-based control. A superb product that is highly recommended.

I bought this to light up my front room and every few days I change the color and brightness. It makes my brain feel so much better. This is the best light I have ever owned.

I am very impressed by everything about this light, from the foam carrying case to all the attention to detail in the construction of it. And it is really well constructed with a great looking design with well thought out handholds. The brake lever tightens the tilting collar down so it can easily support very heavy modifiers, like fresnels with solid glass lenses.It's very bright for an RGBWW COB LED, with deep saturated colour and very accurate white light. Of course the nicely crafted reflector that's included concentrates the beam and makes it even brighter. I have been using it with an Aputure Fresnel 2X which fits perfectly and gets me a much more intense beam that I can focus broadly wider or narrower. Definitely a good affordable accessory.The Sidus Link app lets me control the light remotely and best of all it lets me measure the ambient light's colour temperature then set the 300C to match it exactly for mixing in fill or key light.

Funktioniert NICHT mit GODOX VSA-19K/26K/36K da diese "Nase" vorne zu weit raus steht und deshalb die Bowen Halterung nicht einrastet. Man könnte fast vermuten, dass das Absicht ist, damit der hauseigene Amaran Spotlight SE verwendet werden muss. Das Aputure Spotlight funktioniert ja laut Recherchen auch nicht mit der Amaran Serie.Ansonsten eine solide Videoleuchte.

amazing quality for the price! Amaran brand is what I own for my home studio shooting and minimal location needs. I rent Apurture when stronger lights are needed. This works well with the wireless Sidus app and the ease of setup and operation are very straightforward. I recommend for beginner and pro looking for a nice RGB light beyond typical daylight/tungsten.
