Nice
My husband is going to use this knife to cut large cuts of meat he smokes, turkey, ham, etc. I thought it was smaller but was mistaken as I think I measured what I have now to compare a new knife to but I just didn't think it through enough.

An ok knife
My family has many kitchen implements, but no chef’s knife. So, I had to remedy that. It’s infinitely better at chopping vegetables and such than the other, smaller knives we have, but this isn’t exactly what I would hope for. Apart from being rather heavy (understandable, it is a big knife), handle is hard plastic and seems like it wouldn’t take much for it to break or fall off. Unlike some other chef’s knives, the base of the blade (towards the handle) is also pretty sharp and squared off (instead of curved), which makes me nervous that it would knick something another knife might not if it wasn’t handled carefully. Finally, this knife didn’t come with any sort of sheath or anything, so if you don’t have a block (like us), storing it may prove to be challenging. With that said, it does what a knife does and cuts things pretty easily, so it’s not all disappointing.

Excellent!
The media could not be loaded. I have a lot of knives and some of them are pretty. Some of them are not, and this falls under one that is not pretty, but it does fall under a more important category that is usability! This is a great knife for any chef as a general usage, knife for tearing down vegetables and meats a quick hone with the honing metal and it’s sharp again, it’s very reliable and has a strong plastic grip for comfort and durability. It’s a great value for the money and I highly recommend it!

Quality, Value Priced 8-inch Carbon Steel Chef's Knife
This carbon steel 8-inch chef’s knife is hard not to like. The carbon steel blade has a classic chef knife shape and is scary sharp right out of the box. I’ve had chef’s knives that come from Germany to China and places in between costing from a little to a lot and I can say definitively that this is the highest quality, most durable chef’s knife I’ve found anywhere in this price range. It feels like a natural extension of my hand whether I’m chopping vegetables for stir-fry or a homemade pizza or trimming chicken for the grill. I must admit I was a little put off by the colorful thermoplastic (TPR)-polypropylene (-PP) handle at first, but it does have a great feel and is not prone to slip.Overall, I am very pleased with this knife and would definitely and happily order again. The value for such a quality knife at its current near $25 price point is another reason to select this over more expensive comparable knives in my mind. In fact, I’m looking at ordering another for my sister’s birthday coming up in a couple of months as she too appreciates quality tools in her kitchen.
