Leather TOUCH UP REPAIR PEN biscuit

About a year ago I purchased a BMW with 9000 miles on the clock. It was in excellent condition apart from one thing - the driver seat had already started wearing on the bolster seam and was scuffed down to a sandy looking canvas colour beneath (probably from buttons/zips on clothes). The rest of the seat look virtually new but this one area really let it down.I put off doing anything about it until I'd read up on all of the possible options when eventually I found these leather touch up pens. The BMW Dakota leather in black has quite a matte look to it and is more of a dark grey/light charcoal than black so I was a little unsure if the colour match would work.Well, I'm pleased to say that I had no reason to worry and now my seat(s) look amazing (the passenger seat had started showing the same wear recently so I did that too). The shape of the tip (like a highlighter) makes it easy to apply in small spots and once you let it dry the colour match is excellent. I left it for a couple of hours and then gave the seats a second clean (obviously did so before using the pen) and even the slight sheen on the new dye from the pen was then gone - brilliant.I've never written a review for anything I've purchased before but I was so pleased with how this turned out and the difference this made to the look of my interior that I really wanted to make sure anyone else who was not sure would know that they should bite the bullet and buy now.

It is small pen that you get for your money very similar to a felt tip in size and use- worked reasonably well at masking the cat scratch and kid damage to my chocolate brown leather sofa and chair. It does not make it look like new, but I expected that, it does however help hide the damage and makes the furniture look a bit less used.

This product is fantastic! The cat decided to use my lovely cream leather sofa as a scratching post, much to my horror. I was so upset because there were two particular spots which were so deep and just looked awful and I figured there was no way to fix it. I went on to Amazon and searched for leather touch ups and figured I'd give this a go as anything would look better than the numerous cat scratches. Turns out this works like magic - I can't see any of the scratched areas at all any more, I'm just amazed! SO happy!! The instructions tell you to gently pull back areas that are scratched open and firstly colour in that area and then use the touch up pen to stick back down the area that was pulled away because the dye mixture will act to stick it back down smoothly. I'm so pleased with this because it doesn't just colour in scratched areas, it actually works great to mend small tears. It is over priced for what it is and that was my main hesitation when purchasing but now that I see how well it works I'd gladly pay double!

Overall I did not find this very effective on even small scratches - unless an exact match I would recommend only using on one or two tiny scratches or scrapes. The full kit is so much better - more flexibility and better value for money.

This is an excellent product and has saved me a lot of money! I had purchased 2 new expensive leather sofa`s and unfortunately one of my dogs decided to have a dig at one on the seat covers and the result was numerous deep scratches in parts. I first thought that I would have to replace the cover at great cost, but then saw this product and thought that well I have nothing to lose by trying it. The application is easy and the scratches required 3 coats but the results were outstanding and only by close scrutiny would you detect it. I could not believe the result and I thoroughly recommend this product, what a live saver, brilliant thank you leather care.

I was at first put off from buying this by the price. I looked at a few options but came back to this and decided to I've it a try. My cream sofa was starting to look a little tired and had some small marks from the kids; I was thinking it was probably time to start looking for a new sofa but after using this product I think I can get at least another 12 months if not more out of the sofa now. So to sum up yes it's expensive but if you consider the price of a new sofa vs the price of the pen then it's a no brainer.

Did the trrick , colour wasnt perfect but covered the blemish. it prompted me to buy a pure white after realising my judgement of colour was not the best!

I ordered this after reading the positive comments.I have a cream suite that is only 1 and half years old & it is already showing signs of wear on the seats. After contacting Leatherguard the insurance company that I took out when I purchased the suite from SCS I was told wear & tear is not covered!! £200 wasted!!! Warning to everyone - don't trust SCS or the crappy insurance they sell!!!!!Buy this fantastic product & save yourself £190!!! I used it this week and it has covered the scratch marks on my settee.I can't recommend this product enough!!!!
