Spray Port 6003 user review after multiple projects
When searching for a sprayer I could barely find any reviews for the Spray Port 6003, including here as most of the reviews were focused on the Earlex 5500. So here is my long winded review of the Spray Port 6003 for those who want detail from someone who's used it on a few projects. Like most people that are looking for a 3 turbine setup you wonder what the best bang for the buck is. Do I really have to spend over $1,000 for a 5 stage turbine? Do I have to get the blue color machine like everyone else on Youtube? All I was looking for in a machine was something that can spray water based finishes and produce a cabinet like surface. Long story short, this machine delivered that result. Here are the details: I have only sprayed water based finishes including primers. Reason being, it is water cleanup and it is easy. Which brings me to my first point... This gun is incredibly easy to clean. Sometimes between coats i'll just let the paint sit in there for up to an hour and no clogs. When i'm done I take it apart, spray some water from the hose bib in the cup, shoot some clean water through and then take it inside and clean with soap and water in the sink. From end of spraying until drying is about 10 minutes. There isn't a ton to break down when cleaning so it really is that simple. Paints I have sprayed: My goal with this was simple. All my clients want pieces made with hardwood or they want it painted white. I wanted to produce a white finish that rivals cabinets from a factory. I did that but here is a little secret, this gun will only perform as well as the paint you spray. I spray kilz water based primer thinned with water with a 1.5mm tip. I just add water and stir until it looks right, no viscosity cup, just until it falls smoothly off the stir stick. I apply three primer coats, more thin then thick to avoid making sanding more challenging. I sand with 220 in between the first two and the final primer coat I sand at 320. The next step is where the rubber meets the road. NOT ALL PAINT IS CREATED EQUAL. I didn't go to lowes and buy latex and expect a paint that is not designed to be sprayed spray like a lacquer finish. I bought a paint that is designed to be sprayed. Stop spraying latex, use latex on the walls, not furniture. I used General Finishes White Enamel (also sold on amazon). I put it directly in the cup (through a filter of course) and I did not thin. I used the 1.3mm tip and let me tell you. I did it. After two coats of the general finishes white enamel I had the cabinet grade finish I have so strongly desired. Is the paint super expensive compared to the home center? You bet it is. does the extra $50 mean you get the exact finish you wanted? Yes. Buy the right stuff and you get the right results. I'll post pictures of the first project I sprayed. Conclusion: If you are looking for a gun that can spray paint that is designed to be sprayed then you will be more then happy with this product. I love it. The pieces I have delivered since owning this gun have had people comment immediately, "That finish is so beautiful". Yes it is ma'am. It really is. If you are determined that you have to spray un-thinned latex from the home center then buy the $30 gallon paint from the home center and spend the $1,100 on a 5 turbine unit. I prefer to put the money into the finish over the color of the machine. Side note, it will probably spray thinned latex. It sprayed primer after all. It will absolutely spray all polyurethanes and leave a beautiful finish. Buy the 1.5mm tip the moment you buy the gun. I spoke to an Earlex representative who said the 2 mm tip that comes with the gun is for "spraying the side of the barn". The 1.3mm that comes with the gun is perfect for poly and other thin type finishes.

Impressive Sprayer that kept up with a big job
Really impressive! I was able to apply water based polyurethane to over 90' of fence line no problem. The spray comes out very even and I never had an issue with any runs or drips. I was not sure if this sprayer would be able to keep up with such a big job, but it worked so well. I could not imagine doing this with a brush. Highly recommended, and really happy I bought this.

Good product!
I have enjoyed other Wagner tools over the years and have been quite pleased. This is also the case with this HVLP. It is a very well made product that does what an HVLP is supposed to do. My last Wagner HVLP was heavy and well made. This one is quite light and easy to manage. The turbine produces enough power to get the job done. The cup is steel as is most of the gun. I recommend!

Solid Performance with a Few Minor Hassles
The Wagner paint spray gun did a great job overall. I was impressed with how smooth and consistent the paint flow was—it made coverage fast and even, with very little overspray. The adjustable settings were another big plus. It was easy to dial in the spray pattern and flow to match the project, which really cut down on wasted paint and time. The only downsides were cleanup and the nozzle clogging. Cleanup took longer than I’d like, and the nozzle needed occasional unclogging during use. Not deal-breakers, but something to be aware of if you plan to use it often. That said, the results were excellent, and the ease of adjusting the spray made the job much more efficient. I’d recommend this sprayer for anyone who wants professional-looking results without breaking the bank.

Not lightly used and broken down
The item came with out a manual and was heavily used the description was like new lightly used this was inaccurate. The first attempt to use the sprayer ended up in the machine shutting off and not turning back on. Not sure if a power problem or a motor problem but power on my end was good other items in same plug outlet worked fine. Requested a refund and still not refunded to me

Good spray with one warning.
This is a good upgrade from one of the mostly plastic one-stage sprayers. But the way the hose attacked is just kind of silly…it’s just a stick on situation. It comes off too easily and with all the pressure of the air it goes flying around damaging your carefully prepped and sprayed items. I took to literally holding it together while spraying out of fear it would destroy my hard work again. It should Screw or clamp somehow. Otherwise it’s a great sprayer.

Great Sprayer
Bought this model having never used a paint sprayer before. Very satisfied with it. Easy to understand instructions. Easy to use. Biggest hassle and mess is thinning the paint to get the right viscosity. My latex paint was much too thick to use. Cleanup was pretty easy but takes a bit of time. Would recommend this model for the weekend project person or home handyman. I used it to paint about 10 wood house shutters I built. Did a nice job.

Great for cabinets
Worked great and was very easy to use. The spray finish was excellent. The metal spray gun and can is nice to have vs the other plastic options.
