This is one of the dumbest things I've ever spent money on. Do I regret buying it? Surprisingly... not really. At first glance it seems almost comically pointless. It's basically a tiny magnetic gadget whose entire purpose is to give your hands something to do while your brain wanders off to think about taxes, dinosaurs, or whether penguins have knees. It contributes absolutely nothing to society, doesn't increase productivity, won't mow your lawn, and has yet to pay a single bill. That said... it's oddly satisfying. The machining is smooth, the magnets are strong enough to make the little steel ball glide around with a satisfying snap, and after a few minutes you realize you've been playing with it without even noticing. It's the kind of object you absentmindedly pick up while watching TV, sitting at your desk, or pretending to pay attention during a meeting. Is it necessary? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it? Somehow... yes. People have been entertaining themselves with sticks, rocks, and old tires for thousands of years. This is objectively a step up from poking an old tire with a stick, although admittedly not by as much as modern civilization would have you believe. The build quality is surprisingly nice, everything fits together well, and it's one of those gadgets that makes you think, "This is ridiculous," immediately before you spend the next twenty minutes absentmindedly spinning it around. It's a gloriously unnecessary little desk toy. It won't change your life, but it might make waiting for your coffee to brew a little less boring. Five stars. Humanity has reached the point where we can send robots to Mars, yet I willingly bought a tiny magnetic doodad because shiny ball goes *click*. Frankly, I'm okay with that.

I really like this. It's heavy for its size, and really smooth. The magnet is strongest when the ball is on the side of the main piece on the groove, so it doesn't really stay in the center divot or rotate on the edge easily- it keeps flipping right to the side groove. Not much of a problem, though. The size is comfortable to hold and manipulate in one hand, and it's very quiet.

It was cool and spun well. Just dosent hold up. Dropped on concrete out of hand. Nothing crazy like a 4 foot drop and it's already broken. Big disappointment.

This is my second of these sorts of figet things (I lost the first). It’s lovely, has a nice weight to it. It’s simple. I’m an adult with adhd. My family hates watching movies with me because I can’t shut up. I have an easier time keeping quiet when my attention is divided between this spinner and the film. My family appreciates it. The spinning is not super quiet— if you’re in a cubicle, this will probably annoy people around you. But it works during home movies (Don’t take this to the theatre). I love it, so I’m giving it 5 stars, but it’s not going to fit everyone’s needs.

I've used "fidget toys" before they were a thing. Back in the 1900's I used to keep a small slinky on my desk. I would play with the slinky during work sessions. I called it "Busy hands". I found that I could focus more if my hands were busy. Over the years I have used various items. Stress balls were big for a while. I never got into those spinners. This one however, I will be using for a while. It is discrete, so it will not disturb others and it is very durable. For those adults who work better with busy hands, this is for them.

Magnet broke first day

I have to sit on meetings all day and need something to keep my hands busy. This is a fun little fidget and one of my most commonly used. It’s really good quality and feels solid but not too heavy. The ball gets good smooth spin. Affordable.
