are these jars that come the same as the picture on the web site ie tapered top

The ones I received are slightly tapered but mine were more rounded and even all the way to the top

The 4 Litre Jar measures 15.5cm wide at the widest point, and 26cm high.

Can you store olive oil in them?

As the jar is plastic and olive oil is sold in plastic bottles I cant see why not, but try it first.
