Q: I am looking for something to place in my fathers room in his Care Home, I need something he cant tamper with?

You would probably be better with the solid Ona Block as the Gel is literally that - a jar of loose gel which can easily be tipped out of the jar and spread anywhere he felt inclined to. The block, however, is a small pot of solid air neutraliser block and works just as well as the gel. I have tried both as I keep pet birds so need a neutraliser rather than a heavily perfumed cover up which could affect the birds, breathing. Hope this helps.

Q: only want to use it whilst cooking - can it be resealed without impacting performance when next used?

One gel deteriorates over time when exposed to air therefore I would not recommend resealing.

Q: How long does it last?

A couple of years at least However that might not be the question you want answering We put some into a glass spice jar with a perforated lid and have found it to be effective for 3 months in a small room (shower + loo) connected to a septic tank
