Kids Science Kit, Over 65+ Experiments, Gift for Kids Ages 8-12

I got this kit as a replacement for another one, which didn’t work and had to be returned. What can i say? I’ve never seen my 5yo so excited! Not even when he gets a brand new toy car. He was clapping and screaming and laughing in every experiment we did. The kit provides almost everything you need to run an experiment, you will only need a few basic items found in every household. I was super happy to see how detailed and clear the instruction booklet was (unlike the returned item) and there is an option to watch the experiments in a video format too. The kit has so many experiments that it will suit a kid of any age. Will make a great present too! Highly recommended!

Purchased for a nephew. Really neat product, lots of experiments to do and easy to follow.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I am giving it as a gift, so I cannot comment on how well everything works, but I can say that there is plenty to do in this kit. I bought a National Geographic kit and was very disappointed, so I sent it back. This kit was the type of thing I was expecting, lots of activities, a great instruction manual, and great packaging that makes the product look exciting and makes you want to dive in.

First off - our kit was missing at least one of the necessary components (the polymer crystals), but they are mailing the missing components to me. The experiments we've done have been good - they're interesting enough and easy enough for my 4 yr old to enjoy with help. Many of the activities listed in the book are things you can just pull from the internet and do with every day items, but the kit is a decent value as is for the things that are included. The DVD is a bit disappointing - it doesn't offer any fun explanations or information, it is just a person doing the experiments as listed in the books, and is filmed at pretty poor quality. Additionally, a lot of the components are inconsistently labeled throughout the booklet, the DVD, and the packaging, so it can be a little confusing at times. Overall it's a decent value, and nice to have experiments to pull out that I don't have to do a lot of planning for.

My kids are enjoying their kit so far! (We've tried three experiments.) My second grader writes his observations in the little included notebook, and the experiments are simple enough for my kindergartner and preschooler as well. It's engaging for all, and just takes a few minutes to complete. It's been a good addition to our homeschool schedule, and I love that it's hands-on and not just a video or worksheet.

I purchased this kit for my 5yr olds birthday and we just absolutely love this science kit. The experiments were suitable for all of my kiddos (ages 3-8). I highly recommend this kit even if I do wish some of the experiments were a little more advanced/involved and It would be nice if the book went into a little more detail about the "science" behind the experiment. However, it is a great value for the money and we have been enjoying this kit for a few weeks now and haven't even done half of the experiments in the kit. A few experiments use items from home but these are really simple things like water, oil, a bottle, etc.As you can see we did the volcano experiment indoors and definitely should have done it outdoors as the volcano literally exploded upto the ceiling (which caused all the kids to squeal in delight!).

My son is 4 and loved this kit. There are a good amount of experiments, some require things from home but it’s not too bad. The main reason I didn’t rate this higher is because all of the powders come in little bags that you can not reseal. This results in a huge mess and you end up wasting some of the powders. If this kit had resealable bags or little plastic bottles it would be awesome.

A couple of the items were broken on arrival, like the beaker, but it's of no real consequence if you have measuring cups/spoons.We are having a blast working through the kit, following the book. We've started a science notebook to log our hypothesis, process, and results (5yo child). The kit really has everything you need! Depending on the age group, some light adult supervision is required, but it's fun to get involved, and sometimes hard not to take over myself!It can easily be worked into homeschool curriculums, at home practice for school, or just for fun for kids who love science.
