XMI X-mini KAI Bluetooth Capsule Speaker for iPhone/iPad/iPod/MP3/Laptop - Black

Bought this speaker mainly because I have another two x-minis, which are the version 1.1's. It's great, you can easily connected up any bluetooth device like your iPod and phone. Works with pretty much anything, connected it to my Android phone running 4.4.4 easily. Speaker is loud and clear must have about 10+ hours of battery life for me just at a steady volume not too high, it buddy connected fine to my other 2 x-minis all I have to do is turn them on and make sure my bluetooth is on and I'm connected! Really recommend this speaker for portability and great performace.

Lovely little device. Great to put in bag for travels, weighs next to nothing. Sounds good for size - not fantastic but much better than internal tablet/phone speakers. Tried it with my phone in car as sat-nav speaker but it lost/remade connection a few times. I guess long silence between sat-nav messages may be problem here. Finally tried it as a speaker with my pocket FM/DAB radio (non-bluetooth, direct connection with built-in cable) - worked a treat once I plugged my headphones in socket on speaker to act as radio aerial.

Great little speaker, but stopped emitting sound (Bluetooth MP3 control still worked) after 3 months. We thought paying more for a quality speaker was a good idea, but actually you might as well buy a circa £15 one as sound vary similar and have same warranty length.As usual Amazon customer service and returns were excellent 5+ stars.

Good sound for the money, and you can use it with or without bluetooth option. Personally I found the combined sound / skip function fiddly, skipping tracks when all I wanted to do was change the volume a touch. For that price, they could have made a better arrangement. Wouldn't recommend it at the price I paid.

Stopped working in around 4 uses. Flimsy feel to it. If you need something more robust I'd stay away from these. I now use a Phillips portable speaker (shaped like a hand grenade) it's loud and robust. Everything this should have been.

Bought this for my wife following a review on Channel 5's Gadget Show and their review was spot on. This has a great sound and very easy to use and is small enough for my wife to keep in her hand bag. The set up only took her a few seconds. Not cheap but well worth the price for a go anywhere wi-fi MP3 sound system

I already had puchased the Bose Sounddock(non bluetooth) so was looking for a compact speaker ,a certain C5 gadget programme raved about it as a cheaper alternative!Superb,compact,neat and an excellent sound a good purchase well worth the money

This is small, but don't let that put you off. It gives decent sound and is easy to carry around. I think someone else said it was about the size of a tangerine when folded, and that sounds about right.It comes with a charger lead and a small cloth carry bag with a drawstring. Underneath is a built in lead for plugging it directly in to smartphone headphone jack for when using bluetooth is not important.For the price and what you get it's a bargain.

I dont know about other bluetooth speakers but this one is perfect for me. Small, compact in size with sound that can fill a small room. The battery backup is very good too. After a full charge, it is giving me 8 hrs + of music (still going on the first charge). Quality is good. The sound is very good too.

I love this little sonic orb! While I'm no audiophile, to my ears this speaker boasts some pretty good sound quality, period, without even taking its size into account. When you also consider its compactness, this is a pretty impressive little piece of equipment. The build quality seems pretty good, and it feels solid in the hand. It's got a nice design, and has a pleasant rubbery matte surface texture. I use it all the time; to listen to music while cooking, working, or even showering (as far as I know, it's not waterproof - and I wouldn't test it - but I can connect this speaker to my phone or computer, leave that in another room, and place the X-mini on a ledge or windowsill somewhere safe in the bathroom); I use it to give me and my friends something to plug iPods into when we're socializing somewhere without a sound system present; and I use it with my laptop to provide some extra "oomph" to movies, TV shows, or online video that otherwise would have been inaudible.I bought the X-mini both for it's size and quality. I needed something light and super-compact for traveling, but that wouldn't sacrifice too much in the sound department. The X-mini fit the bill: so far, I've tossed it in a backpack and dragged it around Europe for 2 months and have taken it across the U.S. to the West Coast without incident. It easily took the punishment of travel and meshed well with my other electronics, and didn't substantially add to their weight or clutter (something that is always in danger of happening with an assortment of gadgets while traveling). It was always there to provide that spot of quality sound when I needed it.There are two niggles with the X-mini - the price, which I think is largely deserved when considering the quality, is still a tad expensive. I bought it for $60, but think maybe $45-$50 might be a bit fairer.Also, while the initial bluetooth setup is a breeze, I experienced minor issues a few times when trying to reconnect on both my phone and my laptop, where I had to delete the X-mini from the listing of remembered devices and reintroduce it. Also, sometime it seems to only partially connect (or only link up one channel) on bluetooth with my laptop, and I have to disconnect/reconnect until it works. Minor issues, though, and to be honest I'm not sure if the fault lies in the speaker or my devices (probably the devices).So all-in-all, if you want the smallest, best-sounding bluetooth-capable portable speaker, the X-mini is probably for you!

perfect to carry around and sound quality is really good. much prefer this than the normal ones because of the bluetooth function. much more worth it.
