Q: How far can I move it from the window?

It has a long hose that connects to window and long cord

Q: Does this require hook up to a window to use?

Short answer is yes, it blows out hot air out the back that needs to be vented outside. Though, we have ours hooked up to a floor vent….

Q: How big is the water reservoir ? Is it easy to empty??

Hi Lorra. To be honest have not connect the unit just yet so I am not sure how big the water reservoir is. I do have a larger unit I used last summer and it seemed to be fine emptying the reservoir every 2 weeks and that was with me running the unit daily and using the dehumidifier setting quite often. As for emptying my larger unit I just rolled it out side and tilted the unit over and let the water drain out. I have considered trying to find a small house for drainage. Hopw this was helpful.
