16 Color Wax Dye(Total 2.4oz), DIY Candle Dyes Natural Soy Dyes Candle Wax Dye Flakes Kit for Making Scented Candles or DIY

I love candle making, and I was getting super bored so i decided to buy these dyes. Judging from the cover photo, they did not look cute at all but let me tell you- once it’s melted and hardened into the wax they look fantastic! Like all dyes, they take a high temperature to melt, so don’t be disheartened by the low rates reviews complaining about that. You should remember that a little goes a long way, these are super pigmented so only one or two little chips will so the job. I’m so happy with this product!

I had extremely high hopes for this product considering the other reviews I had read regarding similar products, however, those hopes turned into a night of frustration, and 20lbs of Soy Wax Flakes absolutely ruined. I read the product instructions quite thoroughly, added the dye chip to the soy wax flakes while I double boiled the wax; the soy wax melted relatively quickly as it typically does, however, the dye chips were still whole, they had not dissolved at all. I continued to wait thinking they may just take a few extra minutes to dissolve, 30 minutes later, the dye chips still had not dissolved. My soy wax burned due to the time I waited for the dye chips to dissolve, 20lbs of wax ($120) completely unusable and had to be thrown away. I tried crushing the dye chips & using them whole, regardless, they never dissolved, and only faintly tinted the wax. This was by far the worst product I have ever purchased through Amazon, and I think they should reconsider selling this product. As a business owner, I rely on the companies I buy from to have enough respect for their customer's time and money to be forthright and honest about their product offerings, neither was apparent with this company or product. I lost far more than the cost of the product I purchased!

Vibrant colors, and good price! I used this to make candles using a wax that melted at a very low temperature (It would turn butter consistency if you held it in your hand for a little bit). I found that if I started off melting the dye chips with a only tiny amount of wax in the double boiler while making sure it's all melted thoroughly it improved my overall color, reduced the possibility of unmixed flakes, and made mixing much easier! Would recommend for anyone who wants to make their own candles with colors that really pop

The white doesn't melt or mix, some of the colors don't mix well either. Just a tip for anyone using them!

The black dye actually works PHENOMENALLY. I know it looks dirty brown in the bag, but try it first. In all my years of making candles (I even owned a candle shop at one point, these chips are the best. I mean, all the colors are good, but I'm seriously impressed with how dark the black came out.

It’s been a few weeks since I ordered and while it was fast to be delivered I didn’t get to try out the dyes until last night. While I appreciate that everything was packed up and labeled correctly, the performance of the chips was lack luster. Some chips from different places haven’t been hard to use but no matter how much wax I tried to melt and combine with the dye it wouldn’t completely combine and was much lighter than I thought. It left small pieces that would not dissolve no matter what I did at first. Until I ground it up very finely it wasn’t that great and still left small pieces. I’m going to try and make another batch of small candles again tonight to make sure it’s not a fluke but I was upset for spending what I did to still end up with those pieces.

I love to make candles and these colored dye flakes make it super easy to throw in the candle wax melted and make a bright bold colored candle. Will be buying from again. Thanks!

Horrible dye chips. What I received DOES NOT look like the photos of other reviewers. The dye chips were old, stale, and did not create the colors that were intended. Even with bringing a little bit of my wax to 200 degrees per the instructions (which is too hot for beeswax) the chips would not melt after 20 minutes of stirring..
