Hard to put in a controller at first, but after a few tries, it works perfectly and charges my controllers very well while helping me preserve space on my shelf.

I'm a retro console gamer and have found that recharging PS3 controllers by themselves, is a bit annoying, since you have to have them plugged into a running console to recharge them. After a search on Amazon, I came across this product and took a chance. I have to say that for a basic charger, this does a wonderful job. The lights on the charger turn red when charging the controllers, then turn blue when they're charged. Once drawback is the non-slip pad isn't very good, could use a better rubberized surface, rather than a foam type pad. Inserting the controllers is a bit delicate, as you have to align the controller just right to insert into the sockets and then removing them takes a bit of force, and then the controllers automatically start the PS3, if it isn't already on. All in all, at this pricepoint, it's worth it, and replacing the foam base pad with something with a bit more grip can resolve the "slippery" movement.

My PS3 stopped charging it's controllers. I purchased this item to charge them. Unfortunately, it only charges original controllers, not the knock off controllers that appeared after Sony stopped manufacturing their one ones. If you use replica controllers, don't bother with this charging stand.

I needed something that was a no-brainer to charge my Playstation 3 authentic controllers as well as my off brand non-authentic PlayStation controllers. somebody had in a review I had read before I purchased this product. He said that he couldn't charge his off brand not athletic controllers without cutting and adapting the unit but he probably didn't realize the USB ports on the side were actually charging ports I plug my non-authentic controllers in those charging ports using a PlayStation 3 charger cable and my other PlayStation 3 controllers in the upper ports I haven't charged more than two at one time but it's just me and my brother and yes we're older than you might think playing PlayStation 3 my brother is in his upper 50s I'm in my mid-60s too old not at all. So far I haven't had any issues charging two controller. At one point maybe I'll try four at one time but my experience with this unit has been positive. Not sure how long it'll last you never know about off brand equipment. I hope you can make sense out of my review and I hope it helps someone make a decision on whether to use the product or not. I've looked for quite a while to find something within my price range that actually seems to work this product does work so far.

Controllers don’t fit, specs are off because this is cheap. Don’t buy.
