I purchased this trainer to help build strength in an injured knee during the off months. This unit was easy to assemble, and feels sturdy and stable while using it. I didn't need to make any special adjustments to my Trek Verve 2 bike. The resistance feels good. The operation is quieter than I was expecting. I found this on Amazon for a decent price. Overall I'm pleased with it and feel ready to hit the trails this summer!

Overall rating based on the price point; at the < $175 this is a solid choice for a fluid indoor bike trainer. There are much better fluid trainers on the market, but at this price point this is a good quality trainer. If you find it on sale that is a bonus. Despite the sparse assemble directions, it goes together smoothly and you can be riding quickly after unpacking. The front legs cannot be fully extended to the locked position if you have a 29"-er, but it still rides steady, and it is stable getting on and off. If you over extend the legs the 29" wheel will hit the mat and you will grind down your tire and hear much more noise. For 26", 27.5" and 700's the fully extended legs should not be an issue. (It works fine for 29"-ers, just check your tire clearance regularly if it is placed on a soft mat). I wanted the ability to 'grind' at a steady pace and this works perfectly to add some resistance for a long steady pace. It is not silent, but not disturbingly loud -- I measured the sound at ~73 db on my Apple Watch running at about 70 rpm. That is equivalent to a vacuum cleaner, and that sounds about right. Edit: Some additional information about the noise level - the tire I am using is a knobby all-terrain tire so that adds to the noise level. A smooth tread tire will be quieter.

I recently purchased the sportneer fluid bike and it seized up the first week. Made so much noise i couldn't use it. Wow. However, through Amazon's great return program I decided to exchange it for a new one. The new one came. I put it together easily but warning it comes with no instructions. And this one works great. Quiet, solid, stable. Tension is ok I suggest shifting to higher gear for more resistance. I especially like how quick the bike detaches and ready to ride. Great for warmups Great for cardio Why buy a new exercise bike? Just put your old bike on and go Good price point

I bought this trainer on a leap of faith given there were no reviews for this product. Here is my impression: First thing's first: I ride a cyclocross 700c aluminum frame bicycle. The trainer was tested with 700-28c Vittoria Rubino Pro road tires so your mileage may vary based on your configuration. I am an amateur distance rider who focuses on crushed limestone trails and wanted a trainer to stay in shape in the off season. I bought this model because the price was right and I wanted something quiet and my research suggested that fluid trainers, as a whole, are the quietest. Pros: The trainer seems to be solidly built. It came well packed with everything I would think a rider would need to use the trainer with their bike. Everything went together without any fuss, but the directions were not good. More on that in a minute. Most importantly for me is the trainer is indeed very quiet. The only noise I get when using it is a hum coming from where the the tire and resistance wheel meet while pedaling. Now my tires are fairly quiet to begin with and inflated to 90psi so I would think knobby mountain bike or aggressive cyclocross tires would make more noise, but for me this trainer is perfect. Cons: The directions. I initially struggled to attach the resistance unit to the frame of the trainer. The pictures are too small in my opinion and the directions, I feel, assumed the end user knew what they were doing based on prior experience. This is my first trainer so I have no background with how these things come together. One other minor negative is the resistance wheel has a hole in it; I assume that is how it is attached to the unit as a whole. The problem is the hole is rough and could cut a particularly large tire. My road tires don't get near it and it likely could be smoothed with sandpaper, but it is a quality control issue. So overall I believe I got my money's worth with this trainer. I haven't used it much yet so I don't know how it will hold up long term, but so far the unit has exceeded my expectations. I hope this review helps others who were considering this unit, but were leery given the lack of reviews. Happy riding!

Received today, assembled in less than an hour,rode for one hour this evening. Very smooth and quiet. Only complaint is shipped by FedEx. I live a quarter of a mile off the road. FedEx leaves the package out by the road , not our address. I like UPS because they always deliver to our address with a smile. Back to the trainer, it feels very solid and I had a solid feel during my ride. The resistance is fine, which can be adjusted with the bike shifter and pedaling speed (cadence). My bike is a Diamondback with 700 size tires. I see no reason why this trainer shouldn’t last for a few years, or I’ll repoer back.

I have 2 separate reviews to provide so this is tricky to write. First I'll comment on the reason I didn't give 5 stars. It's only because the packaging was not secure and did not protect the product. We all assume that items can get banged around in shipment so they need to be packaged well. Unfortunately the box was very dented and since the parts inside were not secure and padded there was a broken piece. Therefore I received a damaged product. I need to note that the damage was not to the actual gear and mechanism but to one of the very thick and sturdy ( so how badly was this box dropped!), knob. We still put together the trainer and decided not to return it. Now onto what really would be a five star review had it not been damaged. I absolutely love it! It is smooth and while there is a bit of (whirring) sound it's to be expected and does not disturb me or anyone else. We attached the trainer directly to my rear wheel (did not need to put the included rod through). I definitely feel I will be prepared to ride when the days get longer and Spring comes. I am not a "professional" rider but will ride 15 to 20 miles a day after work if possible when weather improves. To sum this up, I'm happy with the product, the ease of use and the fact I can adjust the tensioner and shift my gears and it takes up minimal space. I was very disappointed with the poor packaging. I actually have never received anything in such a damaged state ( and I've ordered a lot of items). I recommend this trainer for the quality and price. I hope they improve on packaging. Update: the Seller immediately reached out to us, communicated and even sent new parts. They gave us a small refund as well. We really are happy with this product as we were and this worked out great. We've updated our rating.

I chose to cycle outdoors in Chicago's winters, as much as possible, over the last 15+ years. This is WAY better. This Sportneer trainer is a superb product -- solid, quiet, and road-authentic. It feels, performs and responds just like an outdoor ride. The price point is ideal -- not too cheap, like a magnetic trainer, and not over-the-top (looking at you Peleton!) If you have more cash than bicycle, sure, get the Peleton. If you have a road bike you love and an unfriendly offseason climate -- get this trainer! I also just purchased the Sportneer repair stand, so can say with confidence that their instruction booklets suck. Luckily, their products and parts are very good, very sturdy, and the installation is fairly intuitive.

I was excited when the trainer stand arrived. I found it was extremely easy to assemble, was very sturdy, and was easy to attach my bike. So far so good. Then I jumped on my bike, ready for my first workout, and I was surprised how noisy the trainer was. I thought I must have done something wrong in the setup, so I reread the instructions and made sure I had followed them completely. I had. I jumped back on and again was surprised how noisy the trainer was. One of the things that had sold me on the Sportneer Fluid Trainer Stand was their description of the trainer being "whisper quiet." It wasn't. I reached out to Sportneer, expressing my displeasure at the noise, and Jasmine responded quickly with a few suggestions on how to reduce the noise level. They didn't work. I got back in touch with Jasmine and she asked me to send a video showing the trainer in use so they could hear the noise level. I did. When Sportneer reviewed the video they determined to send me a new trainer stand. When it arrived I set it up, very easily again, and jumped on the bike to see if the new stand was any quieter. It was, but not a lot. I guess my idea of what "whisper quiet" means is not the same as Sportneer's. Don't get me wrong, the trainer is not so noisy that I fear for my hearing, it's just not as quiet as I had imagined. I have used the trainer enough that I am now use to the sound. The best part of all of this is how wonderful Sportneer has been in trying to solve my problem. Jasmine was always quick to respond to my emails and I could tell that the company truly wanted to make me happy with my purchase. For that reason I would highly recommend the Sportneer Fluid Trainer Stand!

Nice trainer. Very quiet and easy to setup. You need to know though that if your bike has a thru axle you will probably need to purchase a thru axle that works with trainers. If your bike has quick release skewers then no problem. I picked up a thru axle for trainers on Amazon and then everything worked fine.

Très bonne qualité, c’est le premier que je test et c’est plutôt silencieux. Le changement de vitesse se fait avec le plateaux du vélo donc ça ajoute du réalisme. Très bon rapport qualité prix selon moi 👌

Straightforward and quick to set up and worked excellently on my first ride. Great price for a fluid turbo trainer (got it for £80 in the prime sale), so hoping it lasts a long time in spite of this. Noise wise, its not quiet but also not too loud. Had to turn the TV up louder than normal to hear it over the buzzing, but certainly not obnoxious. Only done one ride so far but managed to stay comfortably in zone 2. I'm sure once my fitness returns I'll have to peddle a bit harder to get enough resistance to stay in that zone. I also bought a cheap set of speed/cadence sensors for the bike to connect to the wahoo phone app for the full smart trainer experience. Would recommend this for a simple entry-level set up for those who want to improve their cardio fitness.

Nice quality product being used to get some miles into our legs before a 5 day ride. Stores easily by folding up.
