Becky Chambers has created her own category
These two books have category of their own. Comfort-Punk or something similar. Brilliantly written. Character building and their interactions are so well written that they will stay with me for a long long time.

A beautiful book
This is another one of those books that deserves more than five stars. I would read the phone book if I knew Becky Chambers had written it. (Do people still know what phone books are?) Everything she writes is so soulful, so loving, so warm and comforting. Even in the Wayfarers series which has some scary, unpleasant parts, the overall feeling is uplifting. This novella, and the one before it, are a love song to friendship, uncertainty, and bewilderment. Tea monk Dex and robot Mosscap are splendid characters, funny and sincere and caring. Together they make one of the best friendships in all literature. I wish there were dozens more books to come. I love them.As an aside, this is the first book ever where I haven’t marked any content warnings from the list below. It’s such a serene tale.

Beautiful and calming story
This book really made me smile at certain points. I love post paradyne shift stories. If you like Asimov this is one for you. The world is rich and intriguing the morals taught are fresh and unexpected to read. Lovely sci if set in a mysterious post something (yet to be explained hoping for more information in future books) Earth.
