I also noticed good abrasion resistance around cover, and the color has held up well after multiple trips. Great line, has caught many fish for me an not broken so far

In my opinion seaguar smack down is the best braided line on the market. I’ve been fishing for a long time and have used probably every big name brand under the sun. There’s only one other brand that I will buy if this isn’t available for some reason and I’m sure everyone knows it’s 832 it’s some people’s first choice but it’s my second.

Cast great, excellent abrasion resistant. Thinner than similar line diameters. And so far every knot I tie has held.

As expected by the best fishing line makers, smack down takes the top spot as my favorite braid. It’s very smooth but not the kind of smooth like Berkeley fireline or anything thermofused. I got the 30 pound to put into a bait caster and spinning reel, both were great. It’s stronger than it looks, and the gray is great in my water which is a grayish/clear tint. Planning on switching exclusively to Seagur Smackeown.

Seaguar has been my go to brand for fishing line ever since I seriously got into fishing. I’ve used other brands of braid including power-pro, spiderwire and suffix and Berkley. After having tried out all of them, I’ve found that Seaguar smackdown to be the best. First it’s usually one of the thinnest per test pound. Second the color doesn’t fade as quick as others, with the color lasting usually for a whole season. Third and most importantly it has very little fraying and is very resistant to abrasion. I have yet to have any line fail on me with the smackdown even when fighting my personal best bass (7lbs) and getting caught in the thickest of weeds and lily pad. I use 15lb smackdown on my finesse spinning reel and 30-50lb for my bait caster. I definitely highly recommend Seaguar smackdown for your braided fishing line needs!
