The product voltage is 230, it works perfectly well off 240 volt with no need for a transformer as you mention.

Easy to fit and a perfect replacement for our old Kidde

This was a great replacement for our old smoke detector that was 10 years old! Just left the ceiling fitment and put the unit onto the original holder. Very easy to effect without calling an electrician.

Easy to install pain in the bum though cos you have to replace the Duracell battery regularly one a year and it has to be Duracell or it won’t work properly
