Giraffe Tools AW40 Garden Hose Reel Cover UV Resistant, Waterproof and Anti-Fading Cover for Water Hose Reel

This is the best hose reel cover I’ve ever used! The fit is amazing—snug but easy to put on and take off. Living in Colorado, I know how quickly the sun, wind, and snow can cause outdoor items to fade and look worn. This cover has been on my hose reel for a full year, and it has done an excellent job protecting it from the elements. While there’s a little fading on the cover itself, it’s still in great condition and continues to keep my hose reel looking almost new. The material is UV-resistant, waterproof, and holds up beautifully through all seasons. I love that I don’t have to worry about my hose reel being exposed to harsh weather anymore, and will stand the test of time.

I wasn’t sure if this cover would fit my hose reel tho I had checked the size and it didn’t match the sizing but it does show in description it fits a Gutagge hose reel 130ft so I gave it a try. It fit perfectly. It’s not tight and not too loose. Looks just made for it. It’s a really thin material but doesn’t matter cause I just want to cover it from the sun and I’m sure it at least somewhat blocks it. The package it came in looked like it was used but didn’t look like it when I took the item out. I didn’t want to get a third party that fits universally because didn’t like a loose too big look. The hole on the cover for the attachment for the reel to the hose was perfectly aligned. Didn’t have any struggle with any adjusting. The backside has mesh type look which is awesome for ventilation. It’s not wrapped by a zipper. It’s wrapped by three velcro tabs. I know the color will fade when summer starts but it’s fine cause I really just want something to cover and lost importantly, the fitting. Again, this is for my Giraffe 130ft hose reel, just in case someone’s was like me a little confused which model is for.

Fits my hose reel perfectly! Seems like it will block the harmful sunrays that would normally fade the colors of the plastic housing.

Update! Giraffe reached out about this cover and the hose nozzle and have provided replacements. The nozzle is working well and has held up so far (about 8 weeks now). We put the cover on just a few weeks ago and so far no fading. But above all this, the customer service for this was responsive and helpful with great follow through. In fact we bought a second hose reel because we appreciated knowing they stand by their product (and it really is a helpful one if you don’t have spigots all around your yard) I wanted to love Giraffe but after the brand new nozzle broke and then this cover fading completely in very short time, I have the added disappointment of nonresponsive customer service. Within a reasonable window I submitted feedback, photos, and request for contact via their website - as directed - and nothing. While this is just a cover and a nozzle, minor in the scheme of things, it really sours me now on all their products. Cover does fit if that’s your priority. And had looked really nice but do not keep outside (ha!)

Not sure why they charge soooo much for this cheap, thin piece of plastic, that usually comes with the product, (not big deal if it did), but I expect it something more durable, lasting. Vinyl, faux leather something better than this “cheap plastic bag” it feels like the one that holds your electric shaver. I feel robbed, if it was cheaper, but no this thing is very expensive for the quality it represents! DONT GET FOOL!
