XMONDO Color Garnet Depositing Mask, Burgundy Hair Dye, 8 Fl Oz

Any one that is a true brad mondo fan knows his stuff has a strong but good smelling scent to his products which is no different in his hair colors. I am one that loves to change my color often and xmondo color gives me that opportunity without damaging my hair and has excellent pigment. If someone tells you this stuff didnt work then they did something wrong when applying because I have used it on bleached hair over already colored hair and it gives me great color every time.

I put this in for the first time time day an omg so far I love it. My hair was dry before an it turned out way better than I thought it would. My hair feels amazing an the color is beautiful. Worth every penny. An didn't need a hole lot of it an still have more left. The picture doesn't do it justice.

This color is the best shade of red i've used!! Also smells very good, and dye is very thick so it won't make a huge mess compared to runnier dyes. Very easy to use and apply onto the whole head by yourself.

I want to preface this review by saying that I did not lighten my hair before using this product, so I probably did not get the absolute best results that I could have gotten. Pro's: - The hair color doesn't stain as much as other hair colors do, so the clean up was much more manageable. - I am not finding that the hair color is coming out on my pillow which I have found to be the case with the usual color that I use. Cons - For me personally, the smell of the product is overwhelming. I also did not find the smell to be pleasing. It smelled of cheap cologne. - In my opinion, the actual formula itself does not have much coverage. I found that I needed to reapply to the same spots more often than other formulas that I have used. - It really bothered my skin. Even though I had the actually color on my skin for a very limited amount of time, my skin started getting really irritated even hours after I had washed the color off. - The actually container itself looks and feels really cheap. - The formula really feels like you are putting straight up chemicals in your hair. I also did not find that the formula made my hair feel nice or hydrated afterwards. I am a fan of Brad, but I think that this product is really overpriced for what it is. I didn't enjoy applying it, the smell gave me a headache, and the formula just felt yucky overall. I also dislike how this brand doesn't display their cruelty free logo on the product. I definitely will not be purchasing this product again.

Love the product! Have been some shade of blonde all my life, so this was a huge thing for me! It makes hair feel so soft, and the color is very vibrant. I only wash my hair once per week (it tends to be dry), and take care to wash in cold water and use sulfate free color safe shampoo/ conditioner. Have had the color on about a month and only faded a little. Thinking of adding some dark brown lowlights with the 5N. We shall see how that goes. Doesn't cover Grey's well, but didn't expect it to. Would recommend!

I bought both garnet and rhodolite and balayaged it with rhodolite at the ends. It was a much more purple hue, more similar to fuschia rather than pink. Application was easy, albeit messy which is to be expected, and don’t forget the Vaseline like I did lol. My neck was stained for days. The color is very saturated and left my hair looking very healthy and shiny. Of course the most vibrant color is at my ends which were bleached from a balayage, but also because I used garnet at the roots to mid shaft. I do believe I could’ve gotten the same effect if I had used only rhodolite. Also, my hair length/thickness took half of each tub, so consider that when buying. Overall, I recommend and will definitely be purchasing more products in the future.

The color itself is absolutely stunning! I would suggest using it during the winter. As of right now being summer, the color tends to bleed much when sweating. Also, swimming is a scary experience. Color dripped right off. Some thought I was bleeding since I’m using the burgundy color choice. Kind of embarrassing but got thru it. Other than that, I think the color is gorgeous and last about 3 to 4 washes. Wish there was a more permanent option.

As you can see in the first picture (the orangey "before"), I have damaged hair from years of coloring treating with permanent box dye (I know, I know, stop yelling). I used XMONDO in the Garnet color and I am a MAJOR FAN now. Let's get the two tiny cons out of the way, I am naturally dirty blonde with plenty of grays and I was trying to find a healthier way to cover my roots however...it didn't do much to my roots as you can see in the second and third pictures, and it tinted my scalp a bit (shown in the fourth pic). THAT'S IT, cons over! The rest of this review is for the good that this product has done for my damaged hair. I went in on my roots and brows - yes I did my brows, no it's not safe, yes I've done this for my whole life, no I don't advise others to do it - with my box dye permanent color (for those who've had this issue and want to color match their roots to Brad's Garnet color: L'Oreal Paris Feria, V38 Violet Noir Intense Deep Violet). After doing this, the two colors made sweet love to my locks and gave me the results I wanted! My hair was tame, soft, and it smelled nice. A HUGE DIFFERENCE from the "before" picture. The last two pictures are from after I spritzed with a leave-in conditioner and blow dried. I took a picture next to a window to get the full effect of XMONDO's Garnet color. I will always use XMONDO moving forward for everything but my roots. I absolutely recommend this product!!
