MDF Instruments, SpragueRappaport Dual Head Stethoscope with Adult, Pediatric, Black Tube, Infant Convertible chestpiece, MDF767BO

I bought this as a spare when my Litmann diaphragm cover was lost and I was finding a replacement cover. The stethescope is good with good sound quality. The two tube design (which is one reason I bought it out of curiousity) is fine though is a bit more restricted than a single tube design. The tubes are slightly shorter than Im used to but overall its a good stethescope and for £30 I have no complaints. Whether it will last 7+ years like my Litmann I am unsure but it is about 1/3rd the price and I wouldnt have any concerns using this stethescope for the forseeable future. Certainly a fantastic spare.

If you don’t want to spend 80+ pounds on one of them litman stethoscopes, then trust me when I say this, this is more than perfect. Absolutely banging quality. Coming from a pharmacy student by the way 💊

Timely delivered. Good acoustics Ears tips are a bit hard on ears but I guess regular use will make your ears used to it. You have to adjust the anatomy everytime you use. Otherwise good product for money. Believe it or not I am using it for my PACES course. Gets the job done.

I bought a cheaper (£8) stethoscope and was very dissappointed with its performance. I had hoped to hear a hedgehog's breathing. Human Lung sounds were OK, heart beat very faint. When I looked for something better, I discovered that many reviewers complained of the same thing, even on much more expensive branded models. The reviews for this MDF scope where very encouraging and I liked its adapability, the head can be configured in 3 ways. The listing makes it look like you are getting 3 different heads, but what you get is a pack of parts to change the configuration. I haven't tried doing this yet. The stethoscope also comes with 3 different sizes of ear bud. The cheaper version became very uncomfortable after a few minutes of use, it felt like it was trying to go through my ears. So what's it like? I agree totally with the previous reviwers. It is perfect. Heartbeat sounds are as I was expecting, I can even hear the pulse in my wrist. Lung sounds are good too. I don't know if the design (Sprague Rappaport) that makes the difference but this device works really well. The 180 degree head twist from hi to lo frequency is quite firm, which I think is good. I haven't tried it on the hedgehog because he's responded well to his treatment for lungworm and since he's wild, I don't want to handle him unnecessarily. So if you are looking at cheaper sethoscopes, I would suggest you consider paying a bit more for this one (£25), you won't be dissapointed. I see that this is not available anymore and MDF Direct are out of stock.

This is really good. It was bought for my nieces 'job day' at school as she wants to be a vet, while planning to use it for my animals. I have poultry and they can suffer from respiratory problems that need to be caught early and these are great for health checks. I also use these to listen to incubated eggs in conduction with candling, and again they are great. The sound is crisp and clear and the dual head is perfect for a variety of needs. This has also been useful to check on my nephews asthma and risk of chest infections.

Very good quality, better than expensive stethoscope. I am relieved to loss the diaphragm.

I only use it to triage patients and rule out wheeze on asthmatics or copd customers and it does a great job at that but could be cheaper

I was looking for a mid-range (cost) for infrequent use on patients. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the sound and has made manual BP's a lot easier when listening for that "lub dub". There are obviously more expensive ones out there, but even some of my colleagues who have Litman's were impressed with these. The extra parts are also a nice touch.

Leuke uitgebreide set, echter slecht hoorbaar in detail. Jammer want leek zo hoopvol. Nu toch maar terugvallen op de standaard merken die 6x zo duur zijn. Was te proberen…

循環器医です。心雑音、呼吸音ともによく聞き取れます。高級感はありませんが、非常に実用的で安価な聴診器だと思います。耐久性については不明ですが、元は取れそうな気がします。 追伸；2024年4月現在、購入して2年経ちましたが、特に壊れることもなく普通に使っており耐久性も十分だと思います。時間が経っても塗装のはげもなく渋い感じになってきました。お勧めです。

聴音強度は良好、音の清明度も良好でとてもいい聴診器といえます。 Amazon USAでも4.5starsの平均値を得ています。 同社のMD oneはとても評価を得ている聴診器ですが、 それ以上の聴診能力です。 Cardiology系の聴診器は高音に弱い傾向を時にもちますので肺音によわかったりしますが、 この聴診器は肺音が清明に聞えるという長所があると思います。 家で聴くのと現場は異なります。 実際現場で使ってみました。 絶好です。心音・肺音とも良好に聴取できました。 心雑音もOKです。III,IV音は本日は対象がいませんでした。 肺音を聞くにはCardiologyより、こっちがいいかも知れない。 Littmann CardiologyIII,IVはTunable Diaphramなので 圧をかけていないと肺音が聞えにくいことがありますから。 ケンツ・メディコのラパポートのやすいほう 140でしたっけ。 これも調べると評価が高い。ケンツのものはここで10500円 とちょっと値上がりしかかも、8200円だったような。 ただ、MDFのこれは6200円で買いましたのでお得ではありました。 ケンツのものと聞き比べはしておりませんけどね。 Littmann Cardiology II, III, IV , Master Cardiology, Master Classic II, stereophonet 178, MD oneは保有しており、聴き比べはしています。

The product came with a slightly different tubing, not quite as shown in the picture. I remain unclear about the "Lifetime Warranty" and "Free Parts for Life Program".... effective selling phrases but there really isn't any clear mechanism in the package by which a customer can get parts in the future if needed. The quality of sound is better than the Littman at a fraction of the cost. In the end, my loyalty lies with the brand that delivers the most years of life for the cost of the instrument. The Littman company has started using cheap binaural spring that breaks after 1-2 years..... what a silly idea to include cheap chinese import. With this innovation they have lost me as a customer forever. Any company, that will manufacture longer lasting instruments deserves support..... Time will tell how long MDF Lasts.
