cheap and cheerful for beginners
This is not too bad if your a beginner like me.. Cheap and cheerful. I don't think I'm getting x2 magnification though. U can see slightly further than just a lense on its own. The moon does look great with a 25mm wide zoom lense and this piece. get why u pay for though. Not seen any other planets yet with it. Although Jupiter should be easiest.

Good Overall, for a beginner
I have a celestron astromaster EQ 130, and used this with the 10mm eyepiece provided, I was only out for about 40 minutes using this lens, but saw the moon, jupiter and saturn. Overall i'd say the barlow is a good buy, it certainly makes things bigger, and easier to see, although not great for deep field astronomy as other things are simply too dim. It also isn't vrilliant (although helpful) for the planets as it doesn't give brilliant detail on them, just makes them bigger. Although i can now see gaps between the rings of Saturn which i couldn't before. What it is BRILLIANT at, is the moon, it gives great detail of the moon and is very useful. The quality isn't the BEST, but it's not terrible. It is plastic and feels poor quality but at the end of the day you'e putting it in a telescope, not smashing it with a hammer. The quality of the image produced is ok, but not incredible. And if you're not a beginner you really should consider spending more on a len for a better quality image. It's good for beginners but i want a higher magnification and when i buy the 3X one i'll certainly splash out for it and get a very good quality one, otherwise it defeats the purpose. So i'm happy overall especially for the relatively low price i paid for it.It was also delivered quickly, with no issues and boxed well enough.

Great
Makes such a difference, must have

Dont
A cheap bit of overpriced plastic tat, reduces the light transmission so much it can only really be used on the moon.Spend a little more and get a lot better, an achromatic two element barlow is much better and not much more expensive.

Get what you pay for
Works but flimsy construction. I have yet to use it in anger but will do until I am familiar with it.

x2 barlow lens
Good cheap priced but very important piece of equipment for every day astronomers, fairley robust and it does what it is supposed to do.

Barlow 2x
This 2x Barolow may not be the best quality Barlow, but for a beginner like me it does what it says on the tin, so to speak.
