This stuff is amazing! My daughter played with it for 3 hours straight! Awesome sensory play for my 4 year old. The downside is it does color her hands pink (it came out at bath time, but ideally, it wouldn’t stain at all.), and the glitter sticks to little hands like crazy.

I bought the name brand "Kinetic Sand" the natural color, and my daughter loves the stuff, but due to there being a bunch of slightly different color grains of sand in that, it can be hard to see detail when you use molds. So I thought I would get this one, as it's pink and even has glitter! She'd love that.When I got it, I opened the bag and it was powdery. I thought that it must have dried out or something, as it's self-adhesion is different from the name brand stuff. I read the little pamphlet that came with it, and it said something like, it can occasionally need a few drops of water to revitalize it. So I put a few drops in, and tried to kneed the water throughout the sand. The stuff was hard to keep contained, and after I thought I had mixed it in as well as I could, there was a great deal of sand clinging to my hand. I had to use soap to get it off. I went back to it a little bit later and was trying to mess with it, seeing if the water had helped, and it didn't seem to me that it had. What I did notice was that the glitter was all over my hands though. It doesn't seem to have any of the properties of the sand, so it seems that will just come out over time, and end up all over your house.I didn't see any dye leeching as others had said, but I can say that I didn't use the stuff a whole lot, as I didn't like how well it stayed together. That being said, I'm guessing there's more than a few people that unlike me, prefer the finer texture of this sand. I just can't see using it in my house.

This product was very disappointing! First, the purple sand is actually hot pink so immediately my daughter was disappointed. Second, it sticks to your hands and doesn’t provide that “mess free” experience like other kinetic sands we’ve used in the past. Third, the color transfers to hands and stains. We’ve used 2 other brands of colored sand and never had this issue.The price is great and the tray and sand molds are useful, however it is not worth the headache of trying to clean up! Even my 5 year old daughter (who loves magic sand) played with it less than 3 minutes and said she didn’t like the way it felt or that it made her hands so dirty.

A little disappointed with this product. I was wanting Kenetic sand and thought that this was it. It’s not unfortunately. It is very messy and leaves skin stained! My kids do love it but I hate the mess it leaves

This stuff is as described however NO ONE tells you that it gets into the carpet and STAINS!! it does not come out!

When I bought this sand for my grandson, I thought it would be like kinetic sand which "moves" and "clings" together and does not make a mess. This pink sand is more like play sand without the "kinetic" experience. The sand is pretty and sparkly, but I was disappointed because it is messy and my grandson got it all over my carpet. Of course the directions say to be careful with the sand because it does stain, but I wouldn't have bought it if I had known it was so messy. I wondered why the price was so good. Now I know. So if you are looking for a "kinetic experience" this sand doesn't provide it.

Stress reliever. Great way to relax. I got these for my 2 adult daughters for Christmas, and they love them. I got one for myself as well. I should add that you will need a larger container than the one that comes with it. I got inexpensive plastic ones with snap on lids that work great.

Have a frienemy that has kids, or even someone you overtly despise? This is the gift for them!!! The more you dislike them, the more of this you should get.This stuff is garbage. Our girls play with kinetic sand from different brands, so it isn't a case that we just didn't know the product. I'm pretty sure a dollar store would sell better stuff. It stains (to their credit, the warnings do say that some colors stain) and it is impossible to pick up. So, if your toddlers do everything they are told and play with it only in the container and never spill, then take a shot at it. Oh, but only if they really enjoying playing with totally dry sand that just falls and doesn't hold shape for more than a split second at best.Absolutely terrible experience. Returned. There are good brands out there...find them and don't waste your time on this. I think this might be my first bad review I've ever left. I normally just write the positive stuff, but this was really worth sharing. Don't get this. Unless you want it for revenge. Then it is awesome, but only then.

Stains children’s hands when new so hopefully this will not continue with further use. Hoping clothes do not stain!!

Amazing stuff. My 8 year old and I literally spent an hour playing with this. You have the sense that it is a dry version of ooblek.

Bought this as a gift for a 5 year old boy, he absolutely loves it, as do the rest of the family. Such a nice, tactile product with visual appeal too in the glitter. Good amount of sand and several cute moulds. The 'sand' is really hypnotic and therapeutic! Fast delivery too, thank you:)
