Hit of the year
My niece’s face was a picture when she opened this present. 2-3years old, and seemed to instantly know what to do with it.

Nice clattery sound.
Love the name Clatterpillar, that's just what it is.Strong and sturdy percussion instrument and very safe.If you hold it with two hands and make it like a wave by moving your hands, you get a lovely clatter sound. Turn it over and try the other side, one side is loud and the other side is quiet. Cool eh!Anyway my grandchildren seem to like it. I bought it for my granddaughter's second birthday.

Lovely instrument
Nice instrument but a little tricky for the younger player. Bought for my music and dance class for babies and toddlers and they love it

Lots of fun!
A superb way to introduce young children to percussion instruments. The clatterpillar is well made and very light in weight making it ideal for young hands.

Sound maker for baby
Quite heavy and not very interesting but seems safe for small hands to play with.

Sturdy, and loud enough without being annoyingly loud
I bought this because my son fell in love with one of these in his music gymboree class and Amazon was selling it for half the price his teacher was selling it for. Personally, I think it's great. It makes a nice clacking sound that isn't too loud to get annoying, but loud enough to satisfy my three-year old. He also likes to flip the tiles slowly to watch the way they line up together, kind of like a slinky but without the ability to twist and tangle. My 18 month old is not as interested in this one as its a bit too difficult for her to figure out how to use (Kind of an up-down movement). The one we received was blue and yellow, and seems remarkably sturdy. It makes a good addition to our music bin.

good product
Excellent addition to the family rhythm band. Produces a carick-chick-chick sound. Probably for 4 year olds and up, provided a group "rhythm band" experience.

Boring
Too stiff for little hands. It doesn't even make a good clatter noise like I expected. Don't waste your money and don't be fooled into buying because of the pretty colors.
