Buy these, make Royal recipe, be happy for.less.
Royal tteokbokki is a hit with my family. The recipe isn't spicy, just Google it. We have ordered 6 packages so far. Its a quick marinade of sliced meat or we use leftovers, small cut veg, and a quick boil of the rice cake noodles of goodness. Dinner in 20 minutes. Sure, you can make the spicy kind too, or the bleak cheesy spicy kind with these too. Gochujang mild can be bought on Amazon.. Use these to make it your comfortable spice level.

Yummy in ramen
These are a favorite of my daughter. We add them to ramen. They are easy to use and a good value.

Pretty good
Tastes fine and has a good texture but it did have a weird smell. I recommend rinsing before cooking.

Don't tell nonna
I made carbonara with Korean rice cakes instead of pasta, and I fear I've crossed a line from which I can never return. I wasn't trying to reinvent Italian cuisine. I was just trying a recipe from Weissman's "texture over taste" cookbook. Turns out... that recipe is brilliant. The sauce clung to those chewy little rice cakes like they had signed a legally binding agreement. Every bite was rich, creamy, peppery, and gloriously chewy. It was like carbonara and tteok had a beautiful, carb-filled love child that absolutely no one asked for... but everyone needs. Traditional pasta? Lovely. Rice cakes? Tiny edible stress balls that fight back just enough to make every bite ridiculously satisfying. I inhaled the entire bowl while repeatedly saying, "This is so weird..." followed immediately by, "...give me another bite." Would an Italian grandmother approve? Probably not. Would she understand once she tried it? Also probably not. Do I regret absolutely nothing? Yes. Ten out of ten. The only downside is that regular carbonara now feels like it's missing its personality.
