Osiris NYC 83 SLM Skate Shoe (Little Kid/Big Kid)

UPDATE ON 03/03/2015 :They sat in the box in my closet for a long time (totally forgot about them honestly). But I was in need of a new pair of shoes because the sole of my regular shoes began to separate and I didn't have time to shop for any due to a doctor's appointment. I'm not a clothes or shoe queen. I only keep one pair of sneakers, one pair of sandals and one pair of flip flops. I ditched the striped laces for the white pair that comes with them but hated the white laces on these shoes because they didn't match. I had to wear a compression sock on one leg so only one of my ankles ended up with 'tag burn' (the tag sewed onto the tongue kept rubbing against my ankle causing irritation similar to rug/carpet burn). I thought maybe it was the laces (couldn't lace them all the way up) so I bought a pair of black 118 inch laces and relaced the shoes. I was visually finally pleased with these shoes so I tried to wear them again and the same thing happened but since I wasn't wearing a compression sock I now have two tag burned ankles, one worse than the other. I'm so happy the size was wrong because these would've been a horrible Christmas gift for a child. She probably couldn't have even worn them! Unless I find a way to remove that stupid tag these will go in the trash because I wouldn't want anybody to end up with these. KEEP LOOKING!Definitely too large as these were going to be a gift for a 7 year old girl. They asked for size 6 so that it what I ordered. Finally arrived today and I can wear them at 22 years old and my feet are NOT little by any means. They won't go to waste as I will probably donate them so someone can make use of them that needs them (not my style or color). I do think they are super cute but just not for my personal wear.

I can never go wrong with Osiris. We got the Pink/Turquoise size 1 for a 7yr old. They were tight at first but, that's to be expected. They give the right amount of cushion and support. They are a little bulky, that is also to be expected. Like most skate shoes they molded to her feet within the week. I've been buying Osiris since I was a 16yr. old skater, they go the distance and then some. I was super excited to find such a "girly girl" shoe. And yes the laces are ribbons, which does make it a little hard them keep them tied. Also, the tag on the tongue cut into her chin, it was quickly fixed with a band aid. So I suggest long socks or pants at first. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Bought for 8 year old boy in 3rd grade. He likes the color pink and wanted some pink shoes. He loves them a lot. These shoes aren't really athletic shoes, they are a bit thicker/puffier and taller than I thought but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He uses his other shoes on gym class days but he could use these if he had to. The shoes are a very bright color pink, almost electric or neon. The shoes have held up really nice and are very cool. I might even buy another color for myself.For anyone comparing sizes, we got him size 4 and he is quite tall for his age. We got the 7 year old in 1st grade size 2 shoes. They fit each kid well.

These shoes are significantly bigger than any other pair of the size 2's my son owns. He has tried to wear them and his feel fall out when he walks. We chose not to return them because the lower size was sold out and my son LOVES the design.. so hopefully he still feels that way when he can wear them! They look well made, so I would have given 5 stars if they weren't so big.

If you are use to the quality of DCs, Vans, Converse, Kswiss, Etnies, Keen etc... you are likely to be disappointed. But the style is FAB! We received them laced with black shoe laces that were 2 DIFFERENT lengths! We took them out and measured them! 1 of the laces is full of snags! 1 of the shoes we had to cut out our own lace holes! The material was still there! Not great quality! But totally fashionable! We have one STYLISH 5yr old! (*_*)

I can NOT say enough how much I adore these sneakers! I bought them for myself, and I get many compliments. Also they are much prettier than the pictures in person. Unlike some other sneakers from this brand you do have to tie them. I purchased another where it was elastic laces. I expected these to be the same. Still great product. I am a 7.5 ,8 womens and they fit me, so i hope this helps someone buying these with the range of size. In a different Osiris sneaker I could not fit the 6, but these I do.

I purchased the sneakers for my daughter, the colors are great, all her friends in Kindergarten loved her shoes. I got a size 1, even though my daughter wears a 13.5 with plenty of room. I got a size bigger because the reviews said they fit tight, kids like to have space in their shoes. They fit great, absolutely no compliants, expect the shoe-strings are thin...

My 8 year old son loves his colorful shoes. He wanted to wear as much pink as possible and this was our compromise ;) I only gave them a 4 because they are kind of heavy. I think this actually only bothers me for some reason, because my son hasn't complained. All in all they are great, funky shoes!
